Itinerary
Begin your venture with three nights' stay at a deluxe hotel right along the Las Vegas Strip. Lonely Planet describes this "hypnotic" city as an "oasis of indulgence in the desert". Try your luck at a world-class casino, experience a famous residency show, or go on a shopping spree. Then, party the day away at an iconic pool party.
Next, you'll fly to LA and spend the night at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott, where you can relax under a cabana at its secluded pool surrounded by tropical gardens. The famous Venice Beach is a 15-minute drive away.
On day five, board the Royal Princess for a week-long voyage along Mexico's Pacific coast, calling at:
- Cabo San Lucas… there are no shortages of excellent seafood restaurants on the rugged Baja California peninsula, where desert landscapes meet cerulean blue waters. You can also see a spectacular cacti forest on your way to Todos Santos (All Saints), an old town built around a Jesuit settlement in the 18th century. Whale watching and snorkelling are also popular activities here.
- Mazatlán… this alluring coastal town is surrounded by palm-fringed beaches and a restored historic centre. Visit colourful markets or book a boat excursion through a mangrove forest. Take a funicular to a hilltop observatory to see the ocean, or have a crisp, cool beer at a local brewery.
- Puerto Vallarta… this captivating city is surrounded by lush green mountains along the sparkling Banderas Bay. Visit charming souvenir shops in the old town, sample locally-produced tequila at a hacienda, take a Mexican cooking class, or kick back at a trendy beach club.
You'll then return to Los Angeles to dock, transfer to the airport and catch your flight home.
