Fly from London Heathrow on 23 November, 2020. Depart on 7 December, 2020, from £1299 per person; or on 5 October, 2020, from £1359 per person.
Your holiday begins with three nights at the Bally's Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, which is on the Strip and within walking distance of the Bellagio and Caesars Palace. Facilities include a gym, tennis courts and a spa with whirlpool tubs. There's also a concierge available to book and plan activities in Vegas.
You'll then fly to San Diego, where you'll spend two nights at the Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa. The property, which recently underwent a $21 million complete renovation, is set in an 18-acre park and features a beach, an outdoor pool, a gym, a spa and waterfront dining options (supplements apply).
You'll then board MS Koningsdam from San Diego and depart for the Mexican Riviera. Your first stop will be Cabo San Lucas, a Mexican resort "blessed with beautiful beaches" (The Culture Trip). The next day you will stop at Mazatlán, known as the Pearl of the Pacific, which boasts a beautiful colonial district and a 13-mile seafront promenade called the Malecón.
Puerto Vallarta will be the final port of call. It's on the Bay of Banderas, which is a good spot to see humpback whales as they search for warm waters in winter. The city still has its colonial-era charm. The cruise ends back in San Diego, from where you'll fly back to London.
MS Koningsdam -- the first ship in Holland America Line's new Pinnacle class -- is the company's "most technologically advanced and most luxurious" (Cruise Critic) vessel. Inspired by music, it features sculptures of pop stars and instruments and has innovative entertainment venues. There's a Rolling Stone Rock Room where a live band plays iconic hits, and a 2-storey World Stage to Music Walk™. Other facilities include two swimming pools, a gym, a digital workshop, an open-air cinema, and cooking shows and workshops.
Your full board covers all meals in four restaurants, serving international cuisine. In-room dining is available 24 hours.
