Lovely stay at this hotel which is set in a small village- very picturesque but very quiet. The room was quite dark due to the small window and requires a bit of TLC but was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Food in the hotel was excellent - very good quality and plentiful. There were also a couple of daily specials available. Breakfast buffet was very good and good choice of hot food cooked to order. Main asset of the hotel is the staff - probably some of the best we have dealt with. Each one was helpful and very friendly- keep up the good work!

Lovely warm welcome, room a little tired and rather thin walls! Shower over bath really not up to scratch. Despite this we really enjoyed our stay and everyone we came across were super helpful and cheery.

On the booking we were told there were discounted tickets for Blenheim Palace, but told on arrival that this was not possible. Rooms very tired and entrance lobby of room , paint peeling and carpets heavily stained. Bathroom heavily stained and water Luke warm in the shower so unable to shower. Bath water hot!

Reception staff helpful and breakfast staff helpful. Just a shame the bedrooms were so scruffy and in desperate need of upgrading or furnishing.

Located in a pretty village. Olde Worlde so rooms looking a bit tired but comfortable and clean. Food for dinner is very good with a market menu (cheaper than a la carte) as well as a la carte. Breakfast cooked individually from the hot selection as well as buffet items. Dining room nicely furnished. Staff friendly and helpful.

We spent a couple of nights in a comfortable room. The receptionist was very helpful recommending places to visit. Had a great Sunday roast and plenty of choices on the breakfast menu.

Lovely room and extremely comfortable bed. The staff were great, Michelle and Lynn were so friendly and couldn't do enought. Neither could Solomen who did everything to make our stay so enjoyable. Simone was also brillant. The food was excellent and would highly recommend

We stayed here for 2 night between Christmas and New Year with our 8 year old and it was the perfect mini break. The hotel is warm and welcoming and the food in the restaurant was suburb at breakfast and for our evening dinner reservation. All the staff were polite and helpful. Michelle on reception was lovely and very engaging with our daughter. Solomon was very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble, like some extra milk for the room or a peppermint tea instead of a regular tea. The room was clean and spacious, even with the extra bed.

Great from start to finish. Lovely staff. Nice room warm in the winter !and very clean. No view from where we were but not a problem. Breakfasts were excellent. great choice . Loved the chefs scrambled eggs!!

Reasonably priced for the area in a beautiful small picturesque village with Eagles a great deli shop.

Clean warm comfortable room although a little tired and worn especially the bathroom, but good value for the price. Staff were friendly and attentive.

The hotel was very basic and shabby. The room was dreary with a view of a parked car as it was slightly below ground level. It had no atmosphere and not at all comfortable.

Very welcoming on arrival, room was clean and had good facilities, breakfast was great.

We stayed in room 2. It is a spacious room and could be very nice. However the shower in particular was not good. It needs replacing as it’s very mouldy. Water pressure was good.

The carpet on the stairs up to room two are very very care worn. To make a good first impression it really needs changing. It did look as though some parts of the hotel were being up dated. Shane about room 2

Staff were great; friendly and efficient. Lovely dining room, great food and generally lovely atmosphere in the inn. Bedroom was large, comfortable bed, warm but tired especially the bathroom.

Friendly staff and clean room. However our room (27) particularly the bathroom was tired and restricted height. Understand that this part of the hotel is being sold to a house builder so perhaps explains the lack of investment

The staff were extremely courteous and knowledgeable about places to visit. The beds were very comfortable.

The water for showers was not hot. We were offered another room to shower in after the first night. Changed rooms due to the lack of hot water and TV not working, But was not offered anywhere to shower after the 2nd night. Also too many things missing from the breakfast menu.

Nothing was to much trouble. I have an egg allergy and they made me smoked salmon with avocado on a muffin which was delicious. All the staff were helpful and friendly.

Food was good & tasty. Young staff seemed well trained

Upgraded to suite as I required a walk in shower for my husband. Room was wonderful but stairs to get to it not so good.

There are ground floor rooms but they all have shower above bath
