Lovely restaurant. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food is amazing (would highly recommend the vodka infused rigatoni)

Lovely food but very limited for gluten free options even though just a change of flour could give many more options.

Food always good only did TravelZoo deals though. Both times on a Sunday and sadly no one else dining so lacked atmosphere. Staff were friendly.

Lovely tasty food

Lovely food and very friendly and helpful staff. The venue was very nice, decor etc., but as it was early dining, 5.30, just lacked atmosphere.

Our group enjoyed all the courses that we had at Koukash. The service was excellent, with the only negative being that we were the only ones in the restaurant that evening, so the ambience/atmosphere was a little flat. However, overall all the meals that we had were very good.

Very nice experience

This is our second visit and we were certainly not disappointed. Welcome, dining room, service, staff and food all excellent.

Quality of the food was decent

Whilst we were the only diners (1415 booking), they were unable to get drinks, starters and mains out within 85 mins. They did kindly offer to allow us to take the mains boxed 'to go', but it was remarkable they hadnt noticed we'd not been served yet.

Staff were ok, not too friendly but not stand0ffish. We would go back to the hotel, but would definitely not eat in this restaurant.

We thought we were visiting a nice restaurant but we were sitting opposite a bar, no table cloth, more like a pub really. The food was mediocre, not very warm and, having ordered chicken, we are not convinced that's what we were served. It was rather tough and overly spicy. Dessert was average.

Manager was very attentive

Two of people who attended found their meal tepid, but wedges were hard, unable to eat. Burger also not good, Third person found Turkish/Indian just edible. Starters, halloumi fine, houmos, very creamy, Cauliflower starter served in prawn cocktail dish, hard to eat. Waited ages for desserts menu, even after this waited at least 10mins, no one came near. Just got fed up of waiting and left

Food was not good at all. Beef Stire fry had very poor Beef in it. Butter Chicken had no taste and again cheap tough chicken. Staff were not very hospitable. No lemon in drinks. I could go on a lot more. Certainly was not value for money. Never again thanks, very disappointed in Travelzoo voucher and even more disappointed with Koukash.

Delicious food, presentation lovely. We were using the Travelzoo offer for a 3 course meal. We were shown to our table, but the deal was not explained, so were left for a considerable amount of time wondering if we could order anything or from a restricted selection off the menu (which can often be the case) which meant we hadn’t made our choices when our server came to take our order. It appears to be the bar staff who take the food orders, and there were a few people at the bar at the time. Eating opposite the bar did give a good atmosphere, and the staff were pleasant. We would definitely eat here again, the food was really delicious.

Food was delicious, the service was great and place was really nice.

We were seated in the bar which had little atmosphere, made worse by 2 lots of noisy people coming in to drink. It was a Monday evening and we were the only diners. Making use of the voucher, which was excellent value, we decided not to choose the supplemented menu items. This left the menu rather restricted, and I didn't really enjoy my starter or main.

Most of the food was very nice although my partners ribeye was not the best served with undercooked chips and a very watery peppercorn sauce

Terrible disjointed service and eggshell left from breakfast on a table that obviously hadn't been cleaned.

Delious food - would recommend

Accommodated us early as we arrived around half an hr before our reservation. Food full of flavour and approachable staff.

First time at Koukash and the food was excellent, so tasty and presentation was very good.

Seating area bland not much ambiance desserts not really great if you were paying full price it would have been a real let down. We asked for a jug of cold water with ice and lemon the bar had no lemon which I’ve never heard of.

This was a truly delicious meal and I’m delighted I bought the voucher. It was confusing initially because the address of Koukash Bar was given as 6 Sir Thomas Street. The only likely door was sealed up, so we called into the Hilton Doubletree hotel and asked there. We were directed to an entrance on Victoria Street (the old Municipal Annex building if any old Liverpudlians remember it), but this was called something like Mouka Bar (?? can’t really remember the name). Anyway we went in, the place was completely empty but we were assured we were in the right place. It seems they’re in the middle of changing things and are changing their opening hours too so they’re not as currently listed for the Koukash bar on Google. I think our server was called Danny (I apologise if I have your name wrong) who was absolutely first class - friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, we couldn’t have asked for more. He explained what we could have with the Travelzoo voucher and any supplements that would be incurred. The meal and dessert were absolutely first class. The restaurant is a totally hidden gem. It’s probably only a 10 minute walk from the Liverpool 1 area but most visitors to Liverpool tend to do Liverpool 1/Waterfront and would probably never know that there was such an outstanding eating place so close by. We’ll definitely go again.

Went on a Wednesday 4pm at so wasn’t expecting it to be busy but we were the only diners so very quiet. Staff were very nice and attentive food was delicious.

On visiting we were welcomed by a friendly member of staff ,Angelina, whom showed us to our table and took our order. Angelina was very pleasant up until there was a mix up with our drinks order. After this she was rude and unprofessional,forcefully putting my drink on the table and storming off after then asking 'what do you for desert'. What a shame she made our experience disappointing after a good start and lovely food.

A fantastic deal. The food was exceptional with a good overall choice from the menu. The staff were very proactive with a genuine smile.

It would've scored a 10/10 but for it being a little on the chilly side within the restaurant otherwise couldn't fault the meal and experience.
