Beautiful setting next to the Thames, feels like an oasis. Very relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Lovely stay but lifts were not working they had a temporary one but we decided to take stairs and we’re on 3rd floor apart from that great .

Lovely setting, but the room and the hotel itself were a bit old and battered! We had nice fish and chips in the bar and I loved the swimming pool.

The spa facilities were great. Unfortunately the ladies changing room was closed the day we arrived so it was a bit chaotic using the family one. However, normal service had resumed the following morning so much better experience. There is a separate adults only section in both the men's and women's changing rooms and each has its own discrete sauna although the men's was not working.

The resort is in a lovely setting, close to the Thames. Ideal for walking along the Thames path. There are two great pubs close by. Excellent size swimming pool for a hotel.

This was our second visit to the Lensbury . The good bits were the location , breakfast and staff. The not so good bits were the small rooms and beds , hot rooms even with A/C and fan, tired devour and furniture.

Lovely position by the river lovely walks & pubs nearby. Also lovely seating conservatory at back of hotel.

Nice overnight stay on The Thames. Evening Meal and Breakfast were good quality and plenty of choice. Room was nice but in a building away from the main facilities. Bathroom was a little basic for a 4*. Service a bit poor but they were very busy.

Very nice accommodation-room s little small and air conditioning not working but otherwise fine.Facilities very good.

Our room, a Classic Double was very small which was not aided by the poor layout of furniture and fittings. The room was well decorated and clean.

The receptionist kept us waiting while he looked up the booking and when we asked if there was a problem he snapped NO - he then gave us the key to room 607 we we couldn’t find we went back to reception to ask where the room was he just pointed to a corridor and said down there ! Again we went back to reception after not being able to find it and another receptionist showed us another building which was through several key operated doors we never would have found it ! The restaurant wasn’t busy ( we had pre booked ) but we waited over an hour for our food and when we asked why we were brushed off with various excuses when it finally came with no apology-we were not the only ones who complained but they didn’t seem to care. Also when I asked where our welcome drink was nobody seemed to know what I was talking about so I gave up. Breakfast wasn’t much better it was buffet and the eggs were inedible and everything else was cold I took the last hash brown and as there were people behind I said I have taken the last one the waiter went into the kitchen but didn’t bring any more out so nobody behind me got any ! When we were leaving they asked if we enjoyed our stay and when we said not really they didn’t seem surprised . I responded to their restaurant feedback on why we were not happy but just got a generic response . This is the first bad experience I have had through your company and really don’t think you should be recommending this hotel to your members in future.

The staff in the restaurant were more senior at breakfast and were the complete opposite of the evening before with a good understanding of etiquette. Also this hotel is in a lovely location / setting

The senior staff were all diverted to a function and the hotel guests in the restaurant were served by younger staff who were unexperienced, probably not trained fully, not fully focused on their task and certainly not with an understanding of etiquette. The room also felt very dated. This hotel is offering a premium stay without being able to offer a premium service

We were given a terrible room, down a wing off the main block. It looked quite different to the main hotel decor with plain walls in the corridor and ordinary doors. The room was AWFUL, it really smelt bad. We were moved to another room on the opposite wing, which at least did not stink but was so run down with bathroom doors that were cracked apart, a desk that was worn through with all varnish removed and peeling, and an old mankey carpet. It was horrible. We arrived at 17:00 so it was not as though we arrived late. The main hotel decor looked OK, but it looked like Travelzoo rooms were the old, rough and poor condition rooms. Really Travelzoo should not put their name to such appalling accommodation, as it destroys your reputation. We have had some good bookings through you, but after this horrible experience we can no longer trust the quality of your offers.

We booked as a quite break after a long illness They had a football tournament on , Saturday evening children running around the bar & restaurant, nobody told us this at check in Restaurant had a restricted meme for the football Tournament, very poor choice not the quality we expected

When at reception waiting to book in the 2 receptionists were trying to resolve a problem for another guest. However, we were not even acknowledged until about 4 mins later. However, all other staff were vey good. Room was good, breakfast was excellent. Swimming pool was great.

I had a nice stay at the hotel overall but there were some aspects that I was not happy with. This was an adults stay and I expected the place to be geared to attend these clientele with priority. I understand that as a resort, children events are unavoidable, but I expected the hotel to show more management of the situation. Children run riot at dinner time (all times really) and in every single common area around the hotel. No restrictions. We had a stressful dinner with all the noise they caused and the mess left around ( so evident) and to make matters worse, we had to choose dinner from a reduced, children like menu! I feel strongly that if you want to cater for an audience you must provide the right environment for them. I had a dessert with children’s ice cream! This meant to be my Wife birthday special treat but she was left quite disappointed. She wanted very much to enjoy the new pizzas menu offered, but we were told nothing from the new adult menu was available. My wife ordered a specific ice cream and they brought something totally different. The restaurants and bars were in total mess, not looking smart at all. And if you have planned activities of these nature and with these clientele, wouldn’t be a matter of politeness to advise of this to the arriving guests? Breakfast, as well, presented some issues. The sausages provided were not up to the standard expected, they looked cheap and tasted cheap. We were left a bit disappointed, but not to demerit the beautiful setting: wonderful grounds and overall clean rooms.
