The grounds are beautiful to wander around, the staff were very efficient and very helpful. It made it such a happy relaxing anniversary. They even had small anniversary cakes waiting in our room

We have written a very positive review in Trip Adviser for them. We really enjoyed the Indian food by their skilled Indian chef. It was one of the reasons we booked . They could make more of this - even the poppadoms we have were 3 varieties with two freshly made relishes

Staff, room, be, cleanliness, breakfast, hotel, and grounds were all fine, but the evening dinner was minimal in choice. We were told this was because of the restoration work being carried out. We stayed for two nights and felt really rested at the end of the stay. We enjoyed a walk around the grounds each day.

Peace of hotel was disturbed by continual banging of doors that need soft closers.
Rooms could do with a bright light above mirror.
More hooks in bathroom and bedroom would be good.
Coffee machine is a pinch point at breakfast time. A hot water kettle for tea drinkers would ease congestion.
We hope refurbishment of rooms doesn't result in loss of baths which is blighting many hotels now.

The setting is really lovely, the staff couldn't have been more helpful but there are so many different wedding 'venues' scattered around, making the environment very corporate and so much refurbishment is needed.
On the plus side, welcoming and helpful staff, an interesting Indian menu, hot and tasty but such a shame that there were no side dishes to a plain chicken in sauce. This would have really shown the dishes of this region. We had a lovely walk round the grounds after a pleasant breakfast.
However, we entered our room to be met by a broken blind (permanently down), and the windows themselves in a bad state of repair. Surely the person making up the room knew that the blind was broken? We WERE offered a different room, but for one night decided we could manage by just propping the blind up. This is all such a shame and making it difficult to actually recommend the hotel at the moment

Hotel itself was fine , room in main building was lovely. Grounds were great to walk around. Such a shame the food let it down .If this was rectified we would go back but not at the moment

The restaurant was being refurbished so we were in a small drawing room for meals . Corridors were being repainted so we had to step over dust sheets to get to our room At dinner the first night main course was served on cold plates and vegetables cold so had to be sent back. One dessert was Chocolate Brownie which was served cold instead of hot It took 2 attempts to get this right.
Breakfast next morning - No heater for plates so all cold and open containers with food that looked as if it had been there for ages- scrambled eggs were solid and stuck to bottom of container. We did have fresh scrambled eggs made for us. Second breakfast the same but with a young waitress who didn’t really know her tasks. Coffee machine had broken and we were told only instant coffee available - no cafetière.
We felt the hotel should have not taken booking until the refurbishment had been completed.

We had a very happy stay at the Warbrook. The meal we ate in the Indian restaurant was first-rate. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful and one of the receptionists knocked on our door with a little birthday treat after my husband mentioned we were celebrating my birthday. Thank you!

The buildings are really grand, history of the home is put up for guests to read up on and the grounds are vast with much space for a nice walk.

The first night we checked in, there was a big birthday party and the music could be heard in our room (room 3). When we called reception, we were told the music would end at midnight and we should have been offered an option to switch rooms. We weren't offered this at point of check in. The second night, there was a murder mystery night, no music, that was fine. However the guests stayed overnight and we had a nightmare guests in room4, who were running in and out of their room, slamming their door, talking and laughing loudly in the corridor until 3am. When we asked them quiet down at 3am, as well as the staff, they were irrational.
When we booked the evening dinner, we weren't told the Indian restaurant is closed until Feb 2025, and they were offering continental fare. We had to book a slot and by the time we sat down, we were told this. Their Google page still promote the restaurant as Indian restaurant opened for Indian cuisine. The communication within the team is poor.
To be honest, with both nights a total disaster the hotel should have refunded my trip. The hotel offered 15% next stay, no thank you, I won't be staying there until they have upgraded their sound proofing, have a firmer noise policy and improved the interior.
Our room taps and shower head had a constant leak and the toilet had a weak flush.

Being so near Christmas, there were Christmas office parties for both nights of our day. So 1st night, it didn't finish till 1 a.m. and then the staff were moving tables, chairs etc right past our rooms. I had to complain. Then it stopped about 1.40 a.m.

When we complained to the duty manager, we were immediately offered rooms away from the function. This was much better

My friend and I + dog, spent a couple of nights at the Warbrook. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. The rooms were really clean and had everything you'd need. The hotel and grounds are both lovely. The Indian restaurant was also excellent.

The hotel was undergoing some refurbishment when we visited hence just 4 stars for ambience but would surely be worth 5 stars when the renovations are complete.

Perfect location for exploring the places we wanted to visit.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was fine.
We were in the new annex, so nothing ‘heritage’ in evidence.
The grounds are lovely to wander through.
Only issue we had was that the breakfast food was either cold or luke warm… cold scrambled eggs, luke warm sausages, luke warm bacon, luke warm mushrooms etc and E came midway though breakfast service… not good enough. Oh, and the coffee machine was broken, so only instant coffee available.

The Indian meal we had in the evening was delicious! Too bad we were the only people in the room which meant there was no ambiance. I think we were one of only a few staying at the hotle.

We were very apprehensive about staying at your hotel due to the very negative reviews on line; TripAdvisor etc However we were pleasantly surprised. Hotel on the outside and in was lovely with beautiful well kept grounds. The room was clean and warm with a nice outlook. Evening meal was delicious.
Breakfast good.
Polite and friendly staff. Will visit again.
