Lovely atmosphere but service was extremely slow could do with more staff did not want to rush meal but this was slow

Beautiful setting on a glorious blue sky day. Tough to bear the venue.

Mediocre and boring afternoon tea. Dry bread, minimal fillings. Sausage rolls delayed and ‘spot the pastry’ followed. Scones fine, but the cheapest jam.

Friendly staff. Attentive waitress.

We had a lovely lunch however our starters were cold. They did offer to redo them but we declined. Thought the drinks were a bit pricey but that is often the case nowadays. The surroundings are beautiful and it was a very enjoyable afternoon.

Good value and friendly atmosphere. The only downside was that their reception appeared very overstretched, if not disorganised. Parking was difficult and limited and our booked table was not free when we arrived on time. There was no one to whom we could report our arrival, without joining a queue at reception. Seems like a lack of staff but it does not create a good impression. However once we were seated in the lounge serving tea, we had a very good experience and our vegetarian dietary requirements were well addressed. We certainly would go back but perhaps not on a Sunday.

Food was not very good and not as advertised .The starter was missing most of the ingredients .The roast beef was very over cooked . The Yorkshire puddings were solid and hard .The gravy was in a very small jug and not lashings as advertised . No condiments were offered

We went for Sunday Lunch. Eastwell is a large country house with lots of character and the dining room reflected this. It was a tad chilly though and we were quite close to the next table so not very private. The food was good but we wouldn’t go back again as not exceptional and we can get similar closer to home. I think they could use a dedicated drinks waiter as there was quite a delay in getting water etc to the table. We have previously had afternoon tea at Eastwell. On reflection I think I enjoyed that more.

Second time at Eastwell manor and although staff are pleasant the service is very slow and waiting time to be seated and for drinks is just too long.

Glass wear stained from dishwasher looked awful on the table I did say to staff also plates not warm when food arrived and coffees where cold I had to have them remade which although little bits and bobs it all adds up and spoils things somewhat especially as if we hadn't had our voucher lunch would have been £140 for 4 of us

We will, 100%, buy another Travelzoo voucher for Eastwell Manor should you ever do this again.

The ambiance is always lovely, the food was as always tasty and beautifully presented. We are hoping we were just unlucky as we have been to Eastwell many times before and after Champneys took over and each visit has been terrific.

The service was non-existent, we had to ask 3 times for our glass of fizz, we waited 35 minutes for our food, with no apology- an abrupt comment “I can only carry so much stuff” was all we received.The group next to us went to the receptionist to complain, they had similar issues that we endured. They asked for sugar in their empty basin, the waitress wandered around lifting up the lids to find a sugar basin with sugar in it instead of filling empty ones up. Also odd that we were told they had run out of sausage rolls, we’d booked our table assuming the teas would have been organised. I would normally recommend it but now I’m not sure. I have to return as I’m taking a friend for her birthday.

Picturesque surroundings

The starter was not as described on the menu (it had gravy on it instead of apple gel!) and the roast dinner was served tepid/cold. The service was slow.

A lovely meal spoilt by poor service and being charged a £6.95 gratuity for serving 2 glasses of wine costing £24 .? In total!

The Service was horribly slow, 10 minutes waiting to be seated, an even longer wait for table water and order to be taken, wine order wrong so first course before wine! A forty five minute wait between main course and dessert, a pretty poor show overall, certainly not an experience I would recommend! Thankfully they didn’t add a service charge . . . .

The venue is lovely but the quality of the food and poor service lets it down.

Service was chaotic and disorganised and bread for the sandwiches was dry like it had been left out for a while and the sandwich fillings were uninspiring and minimal. Overall quite disappointing abd only glad this was with a voucher and not full price. Eastwell Manor could and should do much better.

Lovely afternoon 4 ladies for a 60th birthday celebration. Staff so professional, friendly and kind. The food was so nice and plentiful and such good value for money. Travelzoo have such excellent deals and I had to speak to Customer Services and they were excellent and answered the phone so promptly and resolved my issue straight away - thank you

A wonderful hotel and surroundings. Staff were excellent and the menu although small was excellent.

Excellent service and food. Easy parking, wonderful house with extensive and well maintained grounds.

We had afternoon tea , service was warm and friendly and the room well appointed however we were a group of 5 with 3 vegetarians 1 gluten free and vegetarian and one normal . It would have been good if all the cake stands came out together and there could have been better variety in the vegetarian sandwich fillings and the sandwiches were a bit stale . Enjoyable experience except for being shouted at for not stopping at the bar to pay. There was no notice to tell you and we went tp pay for our drinks at the entrance desk. We were made to feel very uncomfortable.

The food was very nice but the sticky toffee pudding was cold and the apple and blackberry crumble had no blackberry's in it at all.

We are regular customers at Easrwell Manor. We have always found the visits to be excellent, with good service and great food.

Food was delicious and the service first class

Service was slow. it was 20 minutes before we were served our first drink.we had to call staff to our table. We also had to remind staff that we had ordered our desserts approx 15 min ago (ordered at the same time as table next to us) who had finished and were paying their bill.

Out table was booked for 2pm for Sunday lunch, and yet the hotel had run out of beef which meant our preferred choice was not an option.

Lovely place, disappointed they ran out of roast beef and could of served more vegetables for 4 people.

Lunch with old friends in pleasant surroundings. Most enjoyable.
