Staff were great and helpful- really enjoyed walking the grounds and sitting around the fire place.

I felt the hotel looks a little in need of a refresh. Carpets and furnishings need redoing . The place is a treasure and hopefully will be looked after for years to come.

We had a very nice stay only downside was I was never offered the $20 voucher towards lunch or dinner in the resteraunt and we ate there twice .

Always the most relaxing vacation. So many amenities to keep you occupied and the fireplace lobby is like no other place.

Wonderful getaway!

The hotel is wonderful and the staff are friendly and very efficient. The food is excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed two nights in a deluxe king room. The hotel was charming and the room was comfortable. However the activities were disappointing. I was very surprised that on the first weekend of June, the outdoor pool was not open. It was nice weather on the Friday we arrived, and we enjoyed the outdoor tennis courts. But not sure why everything else seemed to be closed up. I did read in advance that the outdoor restaurants would not yet be open for the season, but saw nothing about the pool. The rest of the weekend it was cold and rainy, so it wouldn't have made sense to have the pool open those days in any case. The indoor activities could also use improvement. The indoor tennis court had a different floor which was not conducive to tennis. The large indoor pool was sadly very cold. We did manage to get into the indoor hot tubs, but they were quite busy. It was a nice place overall with great restaurants, but not as fun or relaxing as I had expected. Next time I will go to Mont Tremblant instead.

The ambiance, setting, amenities and friendliness of staff was perfect. We met with friends and had such a lovely time. I’m looking forward to a return visit.

Celebrating a wedding anniversary - we spent our honeymoon in 1981 at Chateau Montebello. Nice building and the front foyer with massive fireplace is nice. Prices are high but the overhead must be very high,

Worth a visit.

Very unique and beautiful hotel. We were there in a shoulder season so not all facilities were fully up and running but we found many things to do. Nicely decorated for the holidays!

I'd love it if there was a book or location available in the lobby that had all current activities and times. It would also be wonderful to know what food options are currently available including the two tier bar food options.

Such a beautiful place! The breakfast is amazing.

Beautiful setting, lots of activity available, as well as great places to sit and, relax, read, and enjoy the ambience. The hotel rooms are very dated, dark, even with all if the room lights on. Cracks in the bathroom sink, a bathtub that has been refurbished, and feels "softer" depending on where you stand in the tub, old style bathroom taps that are hard to use if you have arthritic hands. If you are going to provide a little take in the room there should be 2 chairs at the table, not one.

Very lovely and relaxing! The overnight snowfall made it even more beautiful and peaceful.

There were a couple of house-keeping issues I’d like to note: - There were no bathrobes in the room - The shower gel dispenser was empty - There was not enough coffee pods for our two-night stay (just two regular and two decafs) - Only Coffeemate was provided - no cream/milk (not something you’d expect at a Fairmont resort) All above issues were quickly rectified after we called down.

We went to the Chateau for our 25 Anniversary and were satisfied with our choice. The following day we went to Park Omega to view the aminals. Overall, our time was very enjoyable.

Montebello is a five star hotel with excellent food, services and ambience. It is a great place to unwind and take in the beauty of the architecture of the building and the natural setting surrounding the property. We will definitely return!

We talk about our concern when we checked out and they didn't really do anything.

The heat in the room was high and we could not control it. We could not open the windows, we tried and they were jammed. So the room temperature was unpleasant the whole night and we did not sleep much.

Wonderful old hotel, of course, but we felt it was a little shabby, to tell the truth. The grounds are great but there's not much else nearby, in our opinion.

The hotel itself is beautiful. Christmas trees all over. Perfect. We had a meal in main dining room. Food overpriced. Onion soup not very good. Big blob of mozerella cheese!! Steak with mashed potatoes. They were pureed potatoes. Could have eaten with a straw. Cold. My wife had chicken with potatoes and they were cold. Took 10 minutes or more to get waitress attention to take back potatoes and heat them up. Another wait to get them back meanwhile rest of food was cold.... Not a good dining room experience for the high cost. Not worth the money at all. You go for the ambiance of Chateau Montebello. It was perfect. Dining room dinner not worth it.

Excellent service and ambiance.

The Spa at Monebello is one of the best in Canada. The highlight is the after-treatment relaxation room which is quiet, with comfortable sofas to curl up in and tea.

This hotel's regular prices are unaffordable, but the Travelzoo deals enable me to go back. Thanks TZ!

Lots of activities available for adults and children with good variety . Grounds kept up well. Beautiful nature trails, made use of the bikes , playground , mini golf , swimming pool, playroom , spa

Breakfast buffet is amazing . The dining room is beautiful. There are also great dining options to explore nearby

Everything was perfect. We went into Montebello itself and enjoyed the activities of their Christmas Festival and "just walking around".

Many of the activities were closed which was unfortunate. Even the pool closed early.

Lovely location and beautiful historical building, but rooms, lobby, seating very dated and really in need of an update. Restaurant over priced.

Only criticism was the prices for the a la carte Breakfast items. It was very overpriced in my opinion. A cost of $35.00 for eggs Benedict and the other a la carte offerings when the buffet was the same price. Obviously they wanted you to choose the buffet which was very good but not for everyone.

Although we stayed in a renovated "luxury" room, it still did not live up to what we would expect from the Fairmont brand. More attention to making it a bit more luxurious would go a long way.

The bar in the lobby only opens at 3:30 pm. Guests, ourselves included, had to order room service in order to get drinks delivered to the lobby. It worked out OK but direct access to the bar at noon would have been a lot more convenient.

The price I pay for thé rom was excessive The meal are also very very expensive
