The arrival and picking from the Male to the resort was well planned and seamless, we very much appreciate their attention of the details from the staff meeting us at the Male international arrival hall, taking us to the domestic terminal and waiting in the lounge and the flight to the kooddoo and the resort. Beautiful rooms on the water, immaculate scenery, delicious foods and great service staffs. Truly an experience of a life time!

Suggest the hotel to offer some sort of pool exercises in the morning for their guests.

My husband and I booked and rebooked this vacation several times before we were actually able to go. It was worth the wait! The staff was very responsive to our change of dates and requests as we were booking. I had mentioned early in the booking process that we would like a villa as close to the end of the walk as possible and arrived to find we were in the villa second from the end. All of the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Staff coordinated with the hotels we stayed with before and after our arrival, which made the whole thing effortless. It was so nice to arrive and have someone waiting for you. We never even had to stop and think about where we needed to go. We bought our vacation through Travelzoo and the discounted activities/excursions offered through Travelzoo were different than the ones typically offered through the resort. The resort honored Travelzoo's discounts with the provided voucher. You can tell they work hard to provide excellent customer service. The resort is less than a 1 minute golf cart ride from the hotel, though other than the sound of the rare plane landing and taking off, you would never know you were airport was there. The grounds are beautifully kept. We stayed in an over the water sunset villa with a pool and loved it. The room was large and bed comfy. The mini bar was restocked daily. Internet connection was good throughout the resort. The sunset view was unobstructed and beautiful. Snorkeling right off of our deck was amazing when we were able to get in the water. We saw so many types of fish, sharks, and turtles both from our deck and when snorkeling. Unfortunately, it was quite windy on most days so we weren't able to jet ski, kayak, or stand up paddle board. The pool was fresh water, and we were happy we selected a villa with a pool. We only ate at the buffet though there is an Italian restaurant as well. The buffet had such a large and delicious variety of food that we never felt the need to go to the restaurant. We booked a couples massage. As someone who has had hundreds of massages, I can honestly say it was excellent. I also had a facial which I enjoyed. I felt the prices for the spa treatments were reasonably priced. We really enjoyed the adults only atmosphere. Even though there were no children, it was not a party atmosphere. I would highly recommend coming here if you are looking to relax in a beautiful location with good food, great service, and no children.

The staff is really great and the area is beautiful. The idea of the pool would have been great and the diving in the area is spectacular.

The hotel has many rules upon which they are very inflexible. The resort puts in lots of little hidden fees and does not disclose everything clearly. Transfers to the island are not as promised. Wine offering is terrible. Food is varied but not great quality from our perspective. Once on the facility, you must utilize an app to find out activities, look at the menu, etc. That said, the app is inaccurate and vague. In addition, activities require a personal assistant to get them done rather with, again, a lot of unnecessary footwork to make anything happen. Also, the private pools are really cold so nobody wanted to use them.

Connection to Kooddoo is tough

It was a very relaxed vacation with a few snorkeling trips. The staff all around are extremely good and professional the food was excellent. Chef Selvakumar went out of the way to cook vegetarian food for us. Overall we had a fabulous vacation at Mercure Maldives Kooddoo

This was our second time at the resort and we had a great time. The first time was in February 2023. The weather in October is not as nice, but the service and peaceful nature of the resort made up for it.

Staff went above and beyond, upgrading us to a villa with a pool at no extra cost since we’d stayed here before and we’re celebrating retirement. Amenities seem to be a little less than previous visit, but still really great (ie change in vouchers for discount amount of spa, in-room minibar scaled back). Amazing staff eager to accommodate wants/needs.

Overall a very good experience at the resort. However, the weather was horrible the 5 days we stayed with a lot of rain, very high winds, and very rough seas. This caused red flag conditions which prevented us from doing any water activities. It was a huge disappointment for our group. Obviously the resort cannot control the weather, but beware that the weather here can be nasty and last for days.

Not my first trip to the Maldives but my first in an overwater bungalow. If you’re going to come all the way over to the Maldives, an over water bungalow is a must. Pay the extra money. You will never remember the cost and you will always remember the experience. The MERCURE team is fabulous. First class service. Great amenities.

Beautiful location- very remote, meaning the resort is far from Male where any shopping or “city” would be- a little research would tell you that too. But it is a lovely place to relax on the beach.

The staff has been amazing. We particular love the dive shop (Suvadiva) and the outstanding staff there. Diving here has been amazing.
