We had a wonderful experience with Himalayan Adventure Treks & Tours! We did a 9 night private guided tour special found on Travel Zoo. Our driver picked us up at the Kathmandu airport and took us to the hotel where Bhagwat, the HA owner welcomed us in person and described the upcoming activities. The best part of this tour was the flexibility. If we wanted to do something different than what was on the itinerary, Bhagwat made it happen. The 2nd day our driver took us to a river resort and went on a 3 hour rafting tour down the Trishuli River. It was so much fun! The 3rd day we went to Pokhara and chilled out by the lake. The 4th day we had a private guide help us walk up to the Australian base camp where we stayed in a tea house for the night. The next morning we awoke to a breathtaking sunrise view of the Annapurna range. We walked back down and checked back into the same hotel. After cleaning up, our hiking guide and driver took us up a mountain to watch the sunset. The 6th day our driver took us around Pokhara to see various sites, including a cable car ride up to a temple where we could see the entire Pokhara valley. The 7th day our driver drove us to Sauraha near the Chitwan National Park. After checking into our hotel, our guide took us on a late afternoon jungle walk. The next morning we arose early and did an early morning float down the Rapiti river for an hour in a dugout canoe to see crocs and birds. We then went to an elephant breeding center followed by a guided jungle walk in the park. That afternoon we had a jeep safari into the jungle until sunset. On the 9th day, we drove back to Kathmandu. Bhagwat met us at the hotel and took us out to dinner where we debriefed and talked about our experiences. Since our flight out was not until 11pm, Bhagwat planned our entire day to see the highlights of Kathmandu starting with a thrilling flyby of Mt Everest and the Himalayan range. Then we had a private guide take us to various sites until we had to catch our flight out. Again, we had a wonderful experience with HA and highly recommend one of their tours!

What a memorable experience!

Having been a Travelzoo user for about ten years, I had become comfortable with the value of most offerings in its weekly Top 20 list. Although it sounded a bit extreme, I had noticed with curiosity the Annapurna package from Himalayan Adventure Treks & Tours. A friend and I decided to try it despite our mutual age of 71. The package gets my whole-hearted five star rating for value, customer care, and richness of experience. Although my wife and I have been blessed with numerous wonderful travel experiences, this is the only trip I could call "a trip of a lifetime". The natural beauty of Nepal is so much richer than just giant snow-capped mountains. The trekker climbs through tropical rain-forests of bamboo and blooming Rhododendron. And the cultural immersion! A wonderful, memorable trip! However, there's no luxury included. The package provides the necessities for trekking including a guide, lodging, and most meals. Food and lodging along the trail are unavoidably modest. Seasoned trekkers probably expect this, but my friend and I were both first-timers. And the trek is no stroll in the park -- it is quite extreme, at least for a couple of old guys. But I believe that most healthy, motivated adults could thoroughly enjoy it with proper preparation.

We went in December on the EBC trek with Himalayan Adventure and had an absolute blast and wonderful memories of Nepal -- many thanks to Bhagwat, Prakash, and Mingma. Together, they took excellent care of us from Day 1. Not only was Bhagwat super patient and detailed with all of our questions before the trip (e.g., about gears, cellular/wifi signals along the trek, temperatures and seasons...etc.), he also took the time to meet us at the hotel on Day 1 and hosted a briefing session together with our excellent guide, Prakash, to answer any remaining questions, checked our gears, and made sure everything is in order & ready to go. Prakash is very experienced and knowledgeable of the treks, history, culture, and people. He is a walking encyclopedia on anything and everything Nepal, Everest, Annapurna and much more. During the trek, he made sure we were well informed about what to expect as we pushed forward, constantly kept a close eye out on our conditions and physiological reactions to high altitude, and kept a close watch on our hydration levels. We were in very good hands and I felt very safe along the way. Mingma too, partnered with Prakash, each keeping an eye on us along the way. Although for unforeseen reasons, we had to change our trekking plans, Prakash and Mingma were troopers and continued to look after us with care, hospitality, kindness, and professionalism until we were safely back in Kathmandu. I would certainly book with Himalayan Adventure again for any Nepal trips -- highly recommended!

We had a great experience with this tour company. They were very responsive to all communications. They took great care of us during the trek. We had a medical emergency and they helped us arrange everything. They helped us arrange alternative plans after the incident. The team is very experienced with trekking and were very professional, friendly, and supportive throughout. If we return to Nepal, we would definitely go with them!

Absolutely fantastic introduction to our first time in Nepal. Each place on the itinerary offered something different and the tour exceeded expectations. The owner of Himalayan Adventures (Bhagwat) was always prompt at replying to our various emails and messages before and during the tour, met us at our first and last hotel, and took us out to dinner on the last night where we were able to ask the many questions we had about life in Nepal. He speaks excellent English, having studied in the UK for 7 years and we felt very 'looked after'. He also provided an absolutely excellent driver for the tour, who looked after us well and did an amazing job of getting us from point to point on truly appalling roads and with truly chaotic traffic and driving conditions. Both Bhagwat and Subash (our driver) are true gentlemen and couldn't have done more for us. If you are looking for a tour in Nepal I don't hesitate to recommend this company.

This was our first trip to Nepal and Bhagwat and staff had the entire tour planned out seamlessly. The accommodations were comfortable, clean and in good locations. The guides (Badri in Kathmandu and Hari in Chitwan) were top-notch! Full of information, personable and fun. Our driver, Kazi, was with us from start to finish and we always felt safe and taken care of the entire time. This was a fantastic "taste" of Nepal in every way. I feel like we hit all of the highlights, and were never rushed through the tour like some other excursions I have attended. We also had enough personal time for exploring and shopping in each place. Bhagwat even came to dinner with us on our last night - he is quite the organizer! This was a top-notch experience and a great introduction to Nepal. Dhanyabad and Namaste!

My wife and I came across Himalayan Adventure Treks and Tours on Travelzoo. The price was very reasonable for a trip of this magnitude! So glad we decided to use this tour company! We signed up to partake in the ABC trek in Nov 2024 (very good time of year for clear weather). Himalayan Adventures is a top notch tour company! Bhagwat is the owner, and he provides some of the best customer service I have had anywhere! I am not exaggerating. My wife and I have travelled extensively, but never made it to this region of the world. We really were coming in knowing nothing. I bombarded Bhagwat with questions for almost a year. He was always very help full and his communication was second to none! He answered questions about logistics, visas, what to expect in this trek, what equipment is recommended, if we didnt have time for a 13 day trek he offered a 9 day modification, etc! Not only did he answer these questions, but I swear he would answer within a hour over Whatsapp, even if it was the middle of the night for him!!! His customer service (and all his employees) were incredible! Upon arrival, Himalayan Adventures had their driver already waiting for us as we went through customs and immigrations. When we arrived at the hotel 4 days earlier than our trek in Kathmandu, Bhagwat was waiting for us for a very warm welcome to Nepal. As he checked us in to the hotel, he gave us many recommendations to explore and to eat. Bhagwat signed us up for a flight to see Mt Everest and an all day excursion to see a bunch of World Heritage sites. Some of the temples included Swayambhunath Temple (the monkey temple!), Bhaktapur Durbar Square (we got to see the living goddess!), Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa. For the temple excursion, our guide Kapil was amazing! He was so friendly and knowledgeable. When we were eating lunch, it felt like we were sitting with family. Kapil was an amazing guide!! As we got closer to the day of our trek, Bhagwat recommended we take a 45 min flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara instead of a 11 hour drive on a horrible road full of construction. I cannot agree with Bhagwat more, take the flight its worth it! Plus, you will have way more time to explore the beautiful lake town of Pokhara! The trek overall is amazing! Himalayan Adventures has a break down of the trek itinerary, so I won't get too much into here. The trek is labeled beginner to advanced. I will say, as a beginner myself, this is the hardest trek I have ever done. I'd say it's more intermediate to advanced, but a beginner can do it but it will be grueling (but very rewarding). You will hike 5-6 miles one day, sometimes 10. it totaled 80 miles in about 10 days! That includes thousands of steps up and down, some over a foot tall up steep inclines and declines. That being said, the views are insanely beautiful. Our guide, Prakash, was everything we could have hoped for in a guide. Prakash was extremely knowledge, personable, and patient. Everyday, he would give us a detailed breakdown of what to expect and what to expect the next day. Being the slowest in the group, I usually fell behind the others by about 30min. Prakash and his porters would pace with me. Sometimes, when I was extremely tired, Prakash was so good at keeping me motivated and encouraged. Sukman, one of the porters really stood out. He was so positive and patient as well! We called him Superman because he did everything from carry our duffel bags up the mountain, but he waited on us while we ate, and many other things. Amazing customer service by Prakash, Sukman, and the other porters. We were well taken cared of!!!!! If you do this trek, you cannot go wrong wrong with Prakash leading your trek!!!! 5 stars! This trek is the hardest, but most rewarding thing I have ever done. My wife and I miss Prakash, the porters, and our new friends we met from our trekking group!! it was all made possible by Himalayan Adventure Treks and Tours! This is the company to use for your trek! Our whole group have nothing but 5 star accolades to give them!!!!! This trip will change your life!
