I booked 2 rooms for us and friends. Friends put our 2nd room on their credit card. It was very confusing checking out. We told them we were in 1 car so 2nd room shouldn't be charged for parking. They said they took it off their bill. My credit card shows all charges for both room are in my credit card. Plus, it is more than travel zoo told me it would be. Working on getting it corrected. Have called twice. Told to call again tomorrow to talk to billing people. Lots of time spent on this.

Front desk made mistakes such as not having our reservation, even when travel zoo had confirmed with us. Also, over charged us on too many resort fee days. Worked with us to hopefully remove those charges.
Maid service wasn’t reliable—did not return when we asked them to return later one day.
But over all, workers were nice and polite.
The resort is beautifully decorated and clean. Lovely place! But needs a few improvements with the staff’s abilities.

The room and location was very nice and Lobby was decorated very tastefully and outdoor area was great.

The staff was not very friendly. Room was never made up and when someone stopped by to ask if we wanted turn down service we mentioned that. She was very snippy with us and cleaned up the room. Bar tender on our first night was clearly showing he didn't want to be there. The water in the pool by bar area was murky and had algae on walls. I had booked two rooms, one for us and one for our friends. It clearly stated that the reservation was held under the credit card but not charged yet. When our friends checked in they gave their credit card. However, when we checked out I was told, that everything was charged to my card. The print out we were given was very confusing. On my friends invoice it didn't show the room charge but the resort fees and taxes. I am waiting for the charges to actually be posted on my credit card and hopefully I will be able to make some sense of it.

Not a bad place, but here are the issues
1. The air-conditioning was broken at the facility for the first couple days. The gym was like 150°. And the rooms weren’t cooled off.
2. We were told that as a Hilton honors member we were allowed to use the steam room at the spa, but we were told we couldn’t but they didn’t know
Some work being done on the facility, which we weren’t told.
3. The main pool, which is right on the water is great however it had to be 120°. They don’t change the water. It was way too hot and you couldn’t go in.
4. We tried to get on a sunset cruise, but they have nothing available for us to take no suggestions of where to go.
5. Mosquitoes were terrible. You really couldn’t sit outside at night.
6. Overall, in general or old.

We had 3 in our room, but only 2 glasses, 2 coffee cups, no trash can, no soap for bathroom sink. Also, had to ask for wash cloths. Both ice machines had no ice or were broken.

There is no beach with ocean access. It’s a concrete slab with some sand dumped on it with some plastic chairs on top. AWFUL. Pets are allowed and our bathroom smelled of cat urine.

Obviously recently refurbished so has potential.

First room was horrible; the view from 2nd floor overlooked the dumpsters. The bathroom door was broken, the glass was filthy (I have pictures). We asked for another room and were moved to a room overlooking a rusty drainage vent on the roof, and the parking lot. On day 2, we returned to our room to find that the keys had been deactivated and we couldn’t get in. After another trip down to the front desk (the maid wouldn’t/couldn’t) let us in, our key was reactivated. When returning to the room we found it hadn’t been cleaned or replenished. Another call.
While the property is pretty there are no water views unless you walk down to the marina. No beach or water sports.
All in all, a huge disappointment.

The experience at the hotel was wonderful. The issue we had was that Travelzoo did not send our reservation to the hotel. We arrived late and had to wait awhile for the front desk to sort it all out. The front desk was wonderful. We were frustrated with the Travel Zoo portion of the problem.

The staff was wonderful! They were kind and helpful. The food was delicious and the grounds of the hotel were superb.

We got to the hotel with our reservations, reference numbers, everything ready and we were told they did not have our reservation in the systems and had no rooms. The staff assistant was very nice and very worried and tried to find us another room somewhere else but almost everything was booked. The self-called "Director" and top authority was extremely rude - I said we would have to sleep in the lobby and he said he would call the police. We were not the only ones, obviously the hotel was overbooked and didn't get any apologies, explanations and for sure no empathy.
The young assist was able to find one room for us in another much more expensive hotel but saved us from sleeping in the car. It was the worst hotel experience of my life.
