We stayed in Room 3, which also doubles as a room for disabled people too. The studio is large with a super-king-size double bed which was comfortable. The bathroom is large with an excellent open overhead rainfall shower. There are 2 comfortable upright chairs and a small round table to eat from. The kitchenette is small, and includes a small fridge, small microwave , toaster, electric kettle, a chopping board and glasses, tea-cups and cutlery/plates for 2 people. The bathroom kitchen sink is where the washing up is completed. There was very little noticeable road noise though we visited during the 'off-season' and visitors to the 1 mile distant Lands End were not present in any great number - no coaches - however, during the busy high season days this could be very different. The Studio was cleaned before we arrived and 2 bath and 2 hand towels were provided though the room was not Serviced/towels changed/waste bins emptied during our 5 night stay. There are large fields to walk your a dog safely surrounding the car park.

Bring small bin-bags for your waste and recycling - bins are on the pub carpark. If you visit Lands End Register your car at the 1 mile away Lands End Hotel for free parking; there. Studio Parking is reserved next to the Stablerooms. The First and Last pub (which serves food) is a few seconds walk away and happily there is 10% discount on both Food and Drink if you mention where you are staying - which helped to take the sting out of the outrageous £6 a pint charge and other high drink charges too..! Food and Drink are much more affordable in close-by St Just which has a good selection of pubs (4), cafes, a bluchers/deli, fish and chip shop, 2 pastie shops, a good Chinese Takeaway and a Co-op Store too. The Studio's microwave is capable of re-heating take away meals from the Co-op such as Curry, rice and pasta.

When we arrived we found that the room we had booked was already occupied. On speaking with management at the Land's End Hotel they informed me that this was not the first time Travelzoo had double booked a room. Fortunately they were able to offer us a room in the hotel at the same rate with breakfast. I suggest that you have a look at your booking procedures.

Really nice room on the site of the First and Last Inn in Sennen. Great location, just a 20 minute walk to Lands End (along the road) and about 40 minutes walk to Sennen Cove. Excellent value for money and I will certainly go again.

Initial impression was lovely, it was warm and comfortable with an amazing shower.

Only negatives were no hangers in the cleverly designed wardrobe, only one milk sachet to go with the good choice of hot drinks and a failed lamp. Also, the evidence of a small electrical fire behind the light switch didn't fill us with confidence! Bare wall with paint missing behind the radiator in the bathroom also let the decor down a bit.

Although the decor was really nice and the room very spacious, it wasn’t brilliant outside! It was right next to the pub and the exit from the car park so quite a lot of traffic both cars and on foot. The courtyard was very dirty with leaves, moss and rubbish blown in by the wind! The room isn’t really equipped for self catering and the one time we ate in the room it was very cramped and no table to sit and eat at. Even breakfast was a juggling act! We ate at the pub one night which was just pub food, albeit very nice but it wasn’t until afterwards that we realised we could get 10% off any food there!

The 10% discount at the F&L should perhaps be mentioned when booking?
Also maybe if it’s going to be advertised as self catering a small kitchen unit (similar to in a motorhome or caravan) could be provided? These have small sinks and an oven integral.
Microwaveable bowls would have been good too!
A gate on the courtyard as we had dogs and anxious about passing traffic at times?

Spent two lovely days here walking along the coastal path. Room spacious & warm on arrival. Great to have the pub next door as limited cooking fasciitis.
Other Comments
Maybe a slightly larger microwave to heat food as not always want to eat out.

Most enjoyable self catering holiday with our dog. Spacious main room and bathroom with shower and bath. Next door to old smuggling pub called First and Last with10% discount and enjoyable meals. Very quiet area situated in Sennan . Strongly recommend Sennan Cove which is a very short drive away. You can walk if so inclined. Loved our holiday.

This is my third time staying here now and iv stayed in all the rooms now. This time was room 3 which is the smallest of the three but the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom is spacious. There is a nice space to sit in comfortable chairs and a small table to eat at. The location is great, very quiet and private and the pub is great value food and really tasty.

My only criticism is that the mini ovens have been replaced with a Microwave and therefore it makes any form of cooking difficult. The mini oven and a hob was great as you could at least cook a sausage and egg sandwich for breakfast ut I understand it can make the rooms smell. The staff were really accommodating with my requests and more than happy to assist us and we will return again I’m sure.

Very very reasonably priced. The room was fine for our requirements. Very good pub next door. Out of season this close to Lands End there is a limited amount of things to do if you’re not keen walkers but we enjoyed our 5 nights.

A light over the bathroom mirror would enhance the experience and is required really (Saddle room 3)

The room was quite large and clean. Situated beside a public house so food and refreshment was never a problem. Only criticism was the lack of fresh air in the room. Only a very small window so room was quite stuffy.

The lighting was not brilliant, very dull in the bathroom and no light over the bathroom mirror, I was shaving in semi darkness! Cleanliness not the best, my wife was looking for a lost painkiller and when she shone a torch under the kitchenette unit, it was very dusty and something had been dropped there before we arrived! Lastly, there was no bedside table on my wife’s side of the bed, she had to use the dressing table stool which was covered in faux leather fabric - I think, it was peeling off, sticking to everything. If these problems were resolved satisfactorily, we would definitely stay again in #3 as the layout and size was great.

The room is nice and next to a decent pub where you get 10% off food and drink. Bed comfortable and mainly clean apart from the mildew around the window frame (there is a lot of condensation).

The stables are described as 5 star luxury, however there were a few things missing which would make it 5 star. There were no coat hangers, in the wardrobe, no door mat (and it was very wet when we were there),no plug for the wash basin and no dishcloth (but there was a tea towel). I also feel they could provide washing up liquid. there was also paint peeling in the bathroom. Whether this is end of season stuff I don't know, and it didn't majorly affect our stay but as I said it is described as 5 star

Just a short (2 night) wedding anniversary break. Very pleased with room, size of room and facilities including a large walk in shower in separate bathroom area. Very comfortable bed. We ate at the adjacent First & Last Inn on both nights and whilst it was a very basic, limited menu what you got was quality along with quantity. Resident discounts were an unexpected bonus! Also dog friendly which meant we didn’t have to fund kennels as well.

Prior to our visit I had occasion to contact the hotel reception on a couple of occasions and again they were helpful. If I was to pick up on any particular shortcomings it would be firstly-
1. They advised that 24 hours before arrival they would send a code for the combination key lock in order for us to acccess key to gain entry. This did not happen and I eventually had to contact them on the day of arrival and it did take a little while to respond.
2. After our break I wrote an email to the hotel saying not only how much we enjoyed our stay but also to point out that I felt there may be a water leak to the rears of the toilet. Possibly cistern but most definitely a puddle had formed. I have not received any acknowledgment or response to that email.
