Good staff, very professional but attentive.

Feathers Hotel, a Grade I with its Tudor facade, is a must if you haven't been to Ludlow before, even if you just wander in for a drink. Sunday lunch, my pref the roast beef, is excellent. Breakfast makes staying the night worthwhile.

On this occasion we had booked a lunch for 2pm which we thought would be after their busy period but the service was slow. However, Ludlow can have many events on and the Town was buzzing and the staff were as usual, friendly and helpful.

The place and setting is charming

we had a few issues which resulted in the manager offering us a return visit. The manager dealt with us very well after experiencing the problems.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch. Food was good and the staff very pleasant

Experience was good as always but would say the service wasn't as attentive as usual, eggs, we had to ask to order our lunch after 10 minutes waiting and also had to chase up our drinks order which hadn't arrived. Wouldn't stop us going back though as a good deal.

Slow service,far too much salt in the lamb gravy.

Good but not quite as good as our last visit. (Earlier this year)

Very poor menu. On previous visits booked through Travelzoo choice of dishes from regular menu was very good. Red wine included in deal very disappointing: wine from wine list very expensive.

Cold room. Food not presented well. Told some food was unavailable & then we saw it delivered to another table.

This is our third visit to The Feathers. It is simply wonderful.

The staff are great here and on this visit, our waitress Kelly, was an absolute star.

We’ve been a few times to the Feathers on this deal. The food is always lovely. My husband wasn’t that keen on the menu choices this time but loved his fish and chips.

Service a bit slow

We spoke to the restaurant manager to state our preferences for the finger sandwiches, saying we did not want any cheese but there was cheese. Overall it was OK but we have had better.

My wife and I had a nice lunch at Feathers Hotel, we think that the Hotel must have a very good recruitment process because all of the staff we have met (we have been twice now, staying at the Hotel the first time) have been pleasant, efficient and poisitive (a good 'can do' attitude) and we aren't normally that lucky!

First class standards in service, quality and quantity of food ,superb ambiance of restaurant, an absolute bargain, do not miss out!

It's tired but has character

Late lunch in a period building full of character. Efficient, friendly booking. Beautiful food and customers well spaced. Waiter was attentive without being intrusive. We both really enjoyed the experience. Ludlow is a lovely market town and there was a local produce market we could wander around in addition to a good range of shops and a castle

There was a long wait for food. The menu was very restrictive and more like a standard pub menu compared to my previous visits. The fish I had was very greasy and the batter under cooked.

Waitresses were smiling and happy.

Food choice very limited. Didn't expect to see fish, chips and mushy peas on the menu of such a grand hotel. Fish was greasy and chips hard/over cooked. Did give feedback and told that the chef would be informed. Waited over 45 minutes for food to be served. This was our 4th visit and things have deteriorated. Won't be returning.

Lovely lunch and good value although we also stayed overnight on a dinner, b&b package and we were a little disappointed to find the lunch options were repeated at dinner

Great place to stay/ eat right in the centre of Ludlow

It’s a wonderful old building, staff were mediocre but good enough, It was a good experience.

We have dined here before and had no qualms in booking again . It is a lovely building and staff were courteous

Limited Menu .We ordered Chicken and leek suet pudding and received beef suet pudding with a raw leek . Our table was in a thoroughfare with delivery staff passing us regularly on their way to a service lift . people passed us on their way to the toilets. when the door opened from the car park cold air assailed us . The hotel reception was close by and it was very busy receiving incoming calls .

Scones a bit stale.

Worst afternoon tea we’ve had Scones were absolutely dreadful Lille cardboard rest of cakes weren’t very nice didn’t taste fresh Ps I’ve owned a bakery for 27 years make scones every day

The chips were over cooked unfortunately.
