Our favorite part was the landscaping on their beautiful grounds, particularly the area around the restaurants with the beautiful fountains and multiple seating areas. There were many pool options as every few rooms had their own pool In the common area. Although meals were slightly pricey, we were pleased with our dinner at Twenty6, delicious salads. There were plenty of options for lunch and snacks at the Market Place. The only downside was long walks from our room to the restaurant and the walk to our car was not too convenient. Other than that we loved our stay, the surrounding hills are gorgeous.

Although everything, including the room we were given was nice, I would not recommend the location of where our particular room was located. Although we had a poolside room, our room was located at the furthest corner away from the cluster of rooms that surrounded the pool. There was no view of the pool; jacuzzi or mountains out our windows. Our view looked directly onto a white wall with a fire extinquisher on it. Again, the interior of the room was lovely but the location of the room was not the most desireable, in my opinion. Other than that, we had a wonderful experience and stay. We will be back but room 949 will not be my preference. I highly recommend this beautiful destination. A+++++

Water leak in the bathroom! They pulled us out of the old room but made us wait in 104 degree weather for over and hour and a half to get a bellman to take us to our new room, somewhere on the property. We did not have the keys! Our vacation was essentially ruined! I expect more from customer service and communications. Also, there were 2 dogs swimming in the pool, this is not allowed. More health hazards here! AVOID!

We did like the poolside casita having a separate little pool conveniently located outside the room to use, only they were dirty and only 1 was reasonable to swim in, so that was very disappointing.

The rooms are a bit outdated for an "upscale" resort.
There was only one option available, through room service, to get any food or drinks while at the pools which was very disappointing for a resort.
Most of the pool areas were dirty, not kept up at all. There were babies at the main pool in the pool with no swim diapers on, allowing for unsanitary pool conditions.

There were at least 5 items that were problematic. We had the Starlight Casita which has a large balcony. Upon arrival it was not cleaned and the furniture had large holes in the rattan and dining chairs. Called for attention multiple times before fixed. The next day the resort trimmed the palm trees, without prior notice, which completely trashed the balcony again. Also felt hostage to the room as the palm prawns were falling everywhere. Had to call to have the resort re clean the balcony because the no one cleaned up after the trees were trimmed. Asked several times for engineering to fix a toilet that rocked back and forth. No one ever came to fix. The resort did give us a credit for the inconvenience and I appreciate the way they handled my complaint. That was upon departure. I did not have a restful retreat and it was stressful dealing with the staff. In fact I was contacted just yesterday (a week after checkout) for my travelzoo vouchers which I had given them 2x during my stay. They are not ready for primetime.

During my check in, the front desk did not provide me with a parking pass. I returned for the parking pass and waited another 30 minutes to get it, due to the line. After swimming we got to our room and and found a few cockroaches. I called the front desk and they were great and offered to change our rooms. We decided to change our rooms but this was at 11 pm so it was exhausting and we ended up getting a smaller room but with a larger patio. We liked the original room more. They did extend our checkout which was great. Lastly, I was overcharged, called in and they have refunded me the overcharged portion. Overall, it’s a good hotel and maybe it was my experience but it just wasn’t as relaxing as we’d hope.

Myself and two teenagers had a great 4th of July weekend. The property was pretty busy, lots of pool action but the grounds were so beautiful and the room was super comfortable and cool/quiet. Easy to take an afternoon nap and get out of the heat!

One disappointing factor - on the holiday, Monday 7/4 I was out early enjoying the big pool and around 9:30 or so a group of gardeners went in and really went to town all around the pool area. Lots of loud mowing, weed whacking and blowers. It was really intense and loud, very gassy smelling and a lot of the guests around me were sort've in disbelief- it was almost as if none of us were there. So strange! I called to complain and the gal at the front desk apologized for the inconvenience but I don't think really took my call seriously. Ugh! I finally was able to grab my stuff and head back to the room. I would think for big holidays like that with high occupancy they might try to adjust the groundskeeping schedule, especially around the main pool. Just a thought.

The resort is lovely and the staff incredibly friendly and attentive. However, it is definitely off-season and a lot of the dining and activities were not available during our stay. Additionally renovations and grounds keeping/ parking lot paving was happening during our stay. These things are to be expected but advanced notice would have been deeply appreciated.

The spa, while very clean and well cared for, is definitely overpriced. It was not the best facial I’ve ever had, but it was certainly one of the most expensive.

When we checked in one room they had was next to the outer edge road. There was construction going on a little down from us. They took us to that room and showed us another room in case we wanted that one instead. It was our choice which to take. Now that is some amazing service. The resort and staff are amazing. They checked with through text daily to see if we needed anything. If we did need something they were right on it. Just amazing service.
