"This was the best experience my son and I have ever had. He's 8 years old and never been on a horse. The staff and ranch hands were unbelievable. They got him so comfortable on his horse, Boone. He didn't want to leave! They are full of fun facts and information about the history of the ranch and the surrounding area. The food was a 10 out of 10. Best home cooking I have had in a long time. Everyone there, including the guests, were so kind and helpful. I cannot say enough about this place. What a beautiful experience. I want to come back every year forever!"

Ranch might consider adding activities in the evening.

The Staff are very friendly and so helpful with requests. The historical aspect of the Ranch is neat. The majority of the meals were good, a few were not. The cantina is a fun environment where one makes their own cocktails or helps themselves to beer or wine, on the honor system.

The grounds have been neglected and do not leave a positive first impression. I know it 's the dessert, but there are plenty of native plants that could be planted on the bare dirt. Some of the activities that we participated in were poorly executed and not really an activity. For example, a UTV excursion was simply a fast ride down a dessert road - no presentation or destination, just a ride. The driver acted as if he couldn't wait to get back to the ranch. After talking to guests that had been to the ranch before, the quality and options of excursions were not near as good as on other visits. My friends and I took our own vehicle on drives in the mountain range to look at old ruins and ancient pictographs on rocks - this should be an activity the ranch offers.

Everyone at this ranch was wonderful. Service was excellent. Horseback riding and other activities were really fun. The ranch is rustic and historic but you have everything you need and just need to ask if you want something. I didn't want to leave.

Great experience for all ages (8 through 77). Horseback riding twice a day, small groups (8-10 people), experienced guides, great stories, shooting, archery, 5* meals, comfortable beds, friendly staff. Important that they only had 35 guests so nothing was crowded.
