Why We Love This Deal
Ever wonder what it was like to be a cowboy in the Wild West? Just 15 minutes from the West Rim of the Grand Canyon is this authentic Old West historic dude ranch that dates back to the late 19th century and gives guests an authentic cowboy experience, with horseback riding, shooting ranges and campfire singalongs. Over the years, it has evolved into a beloved resort that has won over the hearts of past Travelzoo guests, who rave about the ambiance and exceptional staff.
Accommodations near the Grand Canyon are limited (especially if you didn't book several months ahead), so lock in your visit at this member-favorite resort. You can choose from cozy two-, four- or five-person cabins and save over 40% on regular rates.

"Lovely staff who went out of their way to make it fun for us. We enjoyed singing by the campfire, riding horses on the trails behind the ranch, and the shooting range. The small number of guests gives the place a close-knit feel which one doesn't get at traditional hotels. The surrounding country is beautiful, peaceful, and quiet.
The Grand Canyon is a 15-20 min drive, and being this close allows one to wake up and beat the crowds that start showing up around 11am at the skywalk."
Each cabin is named after previous owners, writers or poets; they come decked out with air-conditioning and heating units, showers and rocking chairs on the porches—plus they're spaced far apart for plenty of privacy
Indulge in sweet pleasures, like listening to live music by a crackling fire, beneath a canopy of shimmering stars
You can experience life on a ranch—go for a horseback-riding adventure or wagon ride (for a fee)
If you're traveling via car, Las Vegas is a two-hour drive away (Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam are easily accessible on the drive to the ranch)
About the Destination

Staff was great. This was a great experience other than being in a hotel. Just 30 minutes away from the Grand Canyon Skyline. So much to do.

We felt the advertising of the ranch was misleading. Three and a half hours from the south side of the Grand Canyon was not expected.

Overall, a magnificent and awesome experience staying at the Grand Canyon Western Ranch. The location is second to none (as in proximity to the Grand Canyon and Lake Mead), the staff is by far some of the most kind, welcoming, overall nicest people and very knowledgable. Cowboy Casey is a wonderful and awesome entertainer, and his knowledge and experience from working the ranch made the stay that much more enjoyable. When traveling normally, I always find myself asking the locals and this was no exception. The hidden gems here are off the beaten path and well worth the time and visit. Enjoy horseback riding, shooting range, the Grand Canyon, Lake Mead, and the Hoover Dam all from this location!!

We enjoyed the 2 night stay at Starky cabin. Staff are wonderful, friendly, and very attentive to guests. Casey, the singing cowboy gentlemen, was very delightful and the star of every meal's entertainment. Would suggest to anyone who loves nature and country style hostility. The kitchen food was delicious with generous portion. We really enjoyed the western ranch for sure.

This was SO MUCH FUN!!! The cabins are rustic and authentic, the staff was AWESOME!!! Should out to Wranglers James and Colt, and entertainer Cowboy Dave. The Sunset Cowpoke Ride was beautiful, the gun range was fun, and the proximity to the West side of the Grand Canyon made a great side trip!! Would definitely go back!

Fantastic experience, absolutely loved our stay. Great staff who are very helpful. Atmosphere is fantastic, perfect place to get away from it all and enjoy the Grand Canyon. Campfires at night with Casey’s singing are a real highlight!

We had the BEST time at GCWR! The staff was friendly, the food was good, cabins were cozy and the overnight campout was incredible! I would definitely go back again for a true dude ranch experience.
