S.F. Bay Area Activity Deals
San Francisco’s offerings are large, but the city itself is rather small, at just 7x7 square miles. It’s bounded to the East and North by the San Francisco bay, to the West by the Pacific Ocean, and to the South by the Peninsula -- and the activities you can discover in between are endless and action-packed.
“Musts” include -- of course -- riding a cable car, walking across the Golden Gate Bridge, driving down Lombard Street, taking a trip to Alcatraz, exploring famous neighborhoods like Fisherman’s Wharf, Chinatown and North Beach and shopping in Union Square.
The city’s favorite cultural institutions include the newly re-opened San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Asian Art Museum, the de Young Museum, the Legion of Honor and the waterfront Exploratorium. The California Academy of Sciences is the only place on the planet with an aquarium, a planetarium, a natural history museum, and a four-story rainforest all under one roof.
