More Reasons to Go

  • Making this your home base, you'll be located 10 miles from the western rim of the Grand Canyon; for thrill-seekers, drive about 25 minutes to the all-glass Skywalk
  • The ranch itself feels about as country-western as it gets: cabins even come with stoves and rocking chairs on the porches — plus they're spaced far apart for plenty of privacy
  • There are tons of on-site activities, ranging from guided horseback and wagon rides to the Old West-style gun range; at night guests can listen to Western songs performed by cowboys around a bonfire
  • Stay with confidence — the hotel requires all guests and employees to take a non-contact temperature test before entering the grounds

We had an amazing experience at the Grand Canyon Western Ranch. From the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out, everything was flawless. The staff are so friendly ( Linda, Reba, April, and even the Chef). They naturally fulfill all your needs. The cabin was clean, spotless, and comfortable. The water in the room was drinkable and it tasted even better than water bottle. The food at the restaurant is tasty and the price is very reasonable. My husband and I were amazed how fresh and delicious the food is considering this ranch is so remote from town. Every meal we had satisfied our demanding tummies. However, top of it all, Casey made our trip memorable and everyone of us was sad to leave. Casey entertained us all day with his guitars, harmonica, and his songs. His genuine personality, his personal stories, and jokes made us giggles all day long. We, especially our kids, looked forward to the bonfire every night not only for the S’mores but for Casey’s beautiful songs and stories. We listened to the video clips we recorded from him all the way home in the car. We look forward to visit the Ranch and to see Casey and everyone there again soon.

Great place to relax and enjoy being off the grid. Staff are all great and very accommodating. Perfect location, little traffic, and beautiful scenery.

Yes, I liked the cabin and I liked the view. And the meal at the restaurant was very good. However, they were not prepared for the numbers of people they had and we were bustled out of our table to make room for other diners. Felt like a number at this ranch, not like a couple.
Other Comments
It is hard to say this, but the staff was not as great as what we had read through reviews. They seemed to be unhappy it spilled on to us.

Price of meals was a little high for the amount and quality received. Cabins were nice, and the night views were amazing. Enjoyed the Joshua trees and the relative quiet. Sorry it is so far from the other activities we had planned for our visit to the Grand Canyon, i.e. the Grand Canyon village (200 + miles away) and a helicopter ride (from Las Vegas). It was so out of the way, it reduced our overall enjoyment. The fact that we left computer and phone charging cables in the cabin, and they were not found by staff the following day only heightened our overall disappointment.

We did enjoy the company of other guests, Cowboy Dave's campfire, the manager/hostesses friendliness and attention to our needs, and, most of all, the night views of the Milky Way and all the stars.

This is a place where you put away your technology and enjoy the simpler things in life- great staff, great food, and a wonderful low key atmosphere where you go on horse rides, make s’mores and hang out by the camp fire at night.

A great experience for our teenage grandsons. The sunset horse ride was amazing. All the staff were so attentive and helpful. The boys really enjoyed the gun range. Restaurant food and service 5+

The place was so run down and not kept up. Could have been very charming, but was definitely disappointing.

Great, period. A person/group should experience the Ranch at least once in their lives. This place is especially good for kids, aged 6 to preteens. Eat at the ranch house, explore *downtown* Meadview, and of course *see* the Grand Canyon. My kids really enjoyed talking to Cowboy Dave and Arizona Casey, our entertainers. And exploring the ranch stables and pens. *They* got appropriately scared by a couple of thunder storms that rolled through the area. They also wished it had a pool, Tv, and WiFi. I as an adult, completely enjoyed taking a break from electronics and going a on couple of “finding adventures” w/o Google Maps. I traveled *as a Black person with my Black family*, and I felt comfortable there as a Black lesbian with my girl and her kids. No issues. But, we def were the only ones. Also Arizona Casey was mindful of related things. If you’re of color, see above. If you’re gay, see above.
