Voucher cancellation and refund policy: Within 14 days of purchasing your voucher(s), Travelzoo will give you a full refund if you do not have an active reservation with the hotel. Once you book your dates, changes and cancellations are subject to the hotel's cancellation or rescheduling policy and may result in a fee or voucher forfeiture. If you have made a reservation, you must cancel your reservation directly with the hotel prior to refunding your voucher. Vouchers can be refunded online by going to "My Account.” After 14 days, your voucher becomes nonrefundable. At time of purchase, you will have the option to make vouchers refundable until they expire, for a fee, but you will still be subject to the hotel cancellation policy if you have made a reservation.
Hotel cancellation policy: Once you’ve made your reservation, changes and cancellations are subject to the hotel’s policy. Cancellations must be made with the hotel at least 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid penalty. If you cancel or change your booking in violation of the hotel's policy, you may be subject to additional fees or voucher forfeiture.
Occupancy rules: Price based on up to 2 guests per room. Children 18 and under stay free of charge. Additional guests can stay for an additional $20 per night. Maximum occupancy is 2 guests in a king room; and 4 guests in a two-queen room.
Additional hotel-specific charges: A 14.24% tax per night is not included and will be paid directly to the hotel. Parking is an additional $15 plus tax, per day.

The check-in was very easy with Victoria. Got a casita that was sooo nice. Large area and fireplace. Room was decorated nicely and very large Fireplace in casita and the room. Bathroom with 2 sinks and tub and shower. Location easy to get to golf courses and facility 45 acres. Good gym, tennis courts, etc. So peaceful and restful.

the only issue was the loud construction going on that we can hear at 6:30am near our room. we complained and we were given a credit back on the resort fee. we would love to go again next year in hopes that we can get another travel zoo deal!

We haven’t been to La Quinta Resort in a decade and always charming. A very peaceful calm mini getaway to the desert. We got upgraded based upon my gold level with Hilton Honors program. The pool by our room was chilled and loved the proximity. We dined at Adobe and twenty6 with excellent service and food! We will be back.

This is our third time visiting La Quinta Resort using a Travelzoo deal. We absolutely love it. This year, we got to stay in a recently refreshed room, and it was beautiful and well-appointed. The beds here are so comfortable! The restaurants serve delicious food and drinks. Having access to a pool right outside the villa feels luxurious. We look forward to going back again next year.

Before booking, I wish I would have known that there is construction occurring in a vast area of the resort (the plunge pool). It didn't hinder us too much, but it did make walking directly from our room to other main areas of the resort tricky. (We had to go all the way around and it was pretty dusty in that particular section of the landscape.)

It's a nice place, but I wouldn't have gone at the full price booking rate. It's expensive there, but I was willing to pay half their normal rate.

The only complaints I have is that there were small spiders in the pool and one bit me and in one of the restaurants they permitted dogs and the table next to us had a stupid dog that wouldn't shut up.

They told me at the front desk that although I got the $189 voucher, I only paid $159. I told them that was not the case and showed the my credit card statement. The in person check in service was awful. The attendant waved us over rudely with her hands when we were next in line, yet I heard all of the other attends kindly call out "may I greet the next guest?" She was incredibly short/border line rude. When I confirmed my reservation via phone call, I let the hotel know that we were celebrating my husband's birthday. She did not acknowledge this at all. When I gave my card for incidentals, she told me that her card reader wasn't working properly even though I told her that the machine read "approved". Needless to say, I was charged twice for the room incidentals hold. When we left reception, we had to circle back to ask for directions to our casita. She gave us no map or instructions. LaQuinta is a big and beautiful property - emphasis on big. On our first day, we spent a lot of walking time looking for the main pool. Literally 6 employees gave us different directions - with one telling us that the Plunge Pool no longer exists. It would have been nice to have been told in the same conversation that the main pool is under construction. Anyway, we found the pool with another couple experiencing the same confusion. I had to request to have my room cleaned twice - once at 1:30 pm and then again at 7:00pm upon returning to our room for the night and seeing that it wasn't done. When we returned from dinner, the bed was merely remade with the same wrinkled and soiled sheets from the night before, we weren't given fresh glasses in the bathroom, and no water bottles in the refrigerator. While enjoying the pool outside of our casita, a couple thought that it was ok to allow their dog to jump in the pool! Not the way that I want to spend a pool day, so now we have to be inconvenienced to find another casita pool to lounge in. I wanted to love LaQuinta so much. I have heard such great things about it so my expectations were high but, I think they missed the mark on the simplest things that should be second nature to a chain of their liking.
