Wonderful andcwarm experience. Shalimar the manager gave us a tour and explained the meaning of the club. Previously, I had no idea what 40/40 meant. Aaron our server was so patient and accommodating to our to group. Great girls night out for dinner and drinks.
It gets busy after 9PM, so if you want to chill without a crowd while eating, get there before 10PM.

Enjoyed the food for the promo price of $59 but not sure it's worth a ~ $118 value. Club ambiance wouldn't be my style but I guess it appeals to some people.

The staff is very warm and welcoming and the food was pretty good.
Little disappointed in their selections of wines. Bartenders were very nice, but too slow.

On Friday, August 9, 2019, my boyfriend and I visited the 40/40(25th st). We had made reservations on Wed August 7, after purchasing our voucher from Travelzoo. The staff that made our reservation informed us of the dress code, no sneakers, no t-shirts, no hats. We were both excited to try this popular venue. Upon arrival to the club, we were greeted and asked for name on reservation. The information was provided, and we were seated. I informed the hostess, we were using a voucher from Travel Zoo. The waitress came to our table greeted us, we showed her the voucher. She looked at it and said "I will get it my manager to approve it". Five minutes after the manager came to us and said this voucher was used before. I was shocked when he told me this. The couple seated next to us started staring. My boyfriend and I were is disbelief this man was saying this. I replied no I havent used it. He said yes the voucher was redeemed. I said how can that be. He said is this voucher yours. I said I bought this voucher and I print it the voucher, because I didnt dowload the travelzoo app. He said we is been used already. I told him I bought this voucher on Wednesday. This is our first time this venue. He said did you received an email from us the voucher was redeemed. I told him I just gave the voucher to the waitress, no one else has access to the voucher. After 5 minutes of the back and forth, the manager said oh" I probably redeemed the voucher". He said dont worry about it. At this point I wanted to run away from this place. I felt we were humiliated, and mistreated. This experience was uncomfortable and unprofessional. We also saw two man wearing sneakers and t-shirts. After seeing certain preference over certain people, we didnt feel welcome at all. I was ready to leave this place, my boyfriend had a hard week at work and he really wanted to spend quality time with me. The manager handle this situation very unprofessional, it was a distasteful experience. He made us feel like we didn't belong at the 40/40. On top of all this my card was overcharged for two cranberry juice. We are not going to return to the 40/40 in manhattan.
