"The advance info was very helpful and timely. The staff was wonderful - two naturalists were on board and didn't share too much nor too little. they did a great job considering the many different ages, languages, etc. We saw a killer whale, sea lions and otters, and hundreds of different colored jellyfish. When the seas got too choppy, the captain decided to return to shore and told us we'd all get a rain check for another tour. We'd go back in the spring even if we didn't have a rain check!! For lunch, we highly recommend Haute Enchilada (not to be confused with The Whole Enchilada). They served the best mole we've had outside of Mexico!! So good I purchased some to take home."

Good sightings of the whales

I have seen few people got sick on the boat adult and children alike and it would be nice if the crew can offer or sell motion sickness pills prior to boarding .

Spectacular wildlife with very informative commentary from the staff.

I was relieved that the number of other passengers on the boat was very reasonable. There was plenty of room to move around and view from different angles. I can't wait to do this again!!!!

Seeing humpback & orca whales !! The captain gave good instructions as to ' where to look '
Other Comments
The detailed instruction sheet the Blue ocean Whale crew provided...was ' spot on ' !! Captain Kate & her crew were communicative, expert at handling the boat, so as to position it in an optimal position for the ' watchers ' to SEE the whales , and informative as regards what to expect.

There were dozens of whales plus we saw a Mako shark and a HUGE sunfish. One whale was slapping the water with his tail for several minutes. Wonderful

Great weather and 70 degree temperatures made for the perfect viewing weather, along with calm, flat seas, and a LOT of humpback whales feeding and diving. The crew was great including Kate, the captain, and Stephanie, the naturalist--they couldn't have been nicer or more fun.
Other Comments
We were lucky--we had flat, calm water, and within about 15 minutes from leaving the harbor, saw spouts and flukes of humpback whales, along with some breeching in the distance. There was a feeding frenzy by seals/sea lions which indicated that the whales were just below--what a great show! We also got to see the Sooty Shearwaters that migrate to feed all the way from New Zealand, along with adorable Common Murre fathers and chicks. It was awesome!
