$68.50 – El Cid on Sunset: Flamenco Show & Dinner w/Drinks
Why We Love This Deal
Spend Saturday night at Silverlake's landmark El Cid, where its famous flamenco dinner show has been "showcasing local talent since 1963" (USA Today 10Best).
- $68.50 for a Saturday flamenco show and dinner for two people (reg. $138)
- A soup, salad, entree and dessert per person
- A carafe of sangria to share
- Note: Seating and dinner service begin at 6 p.m.; show starts at 7 p.m. and runs for one hour.
Why We Love It
- Flamenco dancers Juan Talavera and Margarita Cordova initially opened El Cid in 1961 to "recreate a 16th-century Spanish tavern" (Eater LA)
- Admittedly, the food is not the star here, but "nostalgists haunt this long-running Spanish supper club in Silverlake for its offbeat, old-Hollywood vibe" (Zagat)
- Invite some friends and purchase two vouchers to visit as a party of four

The service on food was not so great! They make you wait an hour before you get your main course and dessert!

Talented performers (I wish we saw their feet). The panna cotta was delicious! This is a different type of night out, especially for a group. Glad we went, but don't need to go back. I was there 40+ years ago when I was a kid with my parents....not much has changed since then. Glad we had a Travelzoo coupon, otherwise I would feel it was too expensive for what we got.
The venue was old, dark, and did not seem very clean...especially the patio area. Plus there were smokers there. Food was fair for this type of venue. The stage should be raised about 12 inches so people in the back could see the fancy footwork, otherwise, the show can be a bit dull if all you see is from the knees up. Sound system needs an upgrade.

The friendly personnel, The classic atmosphere, professional flamenco dance and music, good food. I came upon Travelzoo by chance. I'm not in the techy generation. Maybe you should advertise to an older generation. You offered a great deal.
A one-of-a kind classic venue still existing in Los Angeles.

The dancers were excellent.
The service was poor and very disorganized. We were sitting for 50 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. The food and Sangria were decent once we got it.

I was there over 50 years ago. When Travelzoo had the offer, I took advantage and took some friends too. One of my friends was in Spain last year, she said the dancing at El Cyd was much betters than in Spain.
