The property is absolutely beautiful with perfectly manicured landscaping and a very relaxed it still upscale vibe. Everyone we came in contact with was extremely professional and friendly.

Chris at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and professional. He went out of his way on several occasions to help us get missing silverware from take out food and to have towels changed out when we chose not to have housekeeping service. Although he told us it was only his third day upon our check-in, he had all the qualities of a highly experienced customer service person working for an upscale property. Thank you Chris for being an outstanding member of the Miramonte team and for making our stay so lovely.

I have been virtually a regular at the Miramonte for about 12 years. It WAS one of my favorite hotels. Unfortunately, however, I understand Lowe purchased the property back in 12/2020 and their in house wholly owned subsidiary management company is running it. They have SERIOUS problems including a staff that doesn’t speak any English who DIRECTLY deal with customers or have never done the job before (NOT the staff’s fault); a pool bar that runs out of e everything and closes at 4:30 pm on a Saturday, just when universal happy hour STARTS, a bar that takes 1/2 an hour in line to get a drink because watching the bar workers is like watching a three stooges film; a front desk manager who needs major help with common sense customer service; and a sticker price that promises mid level hotel but produces an entirely substandard experience. They REALLY REALLY need help or they will lose that golden property.

Water was turned off during afternoon and not available until 5pm. Poor food quality at pool service. Restaurant service was less than adequate (over charged, missing item from order)

The booking was great. Due to Covid we understand things have changed a bit. The Pool staff needs a little more training in customer service. They could know what their doing and why and offer more options. Hector was not the nicest but Elvia made up for his faults. The rooms were a little shabby, wood doors warped and things could have been a bit more pristine. All in all we will wait til the tide turns and Coral Tree makes its mark on the new ownership. Spoke to Colin Yeager Manager and he explained so will try again in the future.

They provided regular coffee, foam pillows, and replaced the broken patio chair when asked. That’s about it. Safe, and laundry robe are still broken.

Front desk girl put us in a room at the very end of the resort facing the parking lot. When asked to check if there are rooms closer to the center of the resort, or with a little view of the pool, she firmly refused. She also had no idea that my reservation included $75 daily voucher, although I showed her the travel zoo confirmation. When I brought it to her attention at the time of checking in, she requested that I login to my travel zoo account and give her the voucher numbers. Being exhausted of driving for more than two hours to reach the resort, I said just let me check in now and I’ll comeback and give you the information needed. She said something to the effect that it is either now or never. Finally, I was checked in only to find out that there was only decaf coffee in the room, patio chair is broken, safe is broken, the robe (where you hang your wet clothes in the bathroom) is broken. The front desk took about 10 minutes to answer the phone when I called to let them know about the needed repairs. Woke up with a bad headache the next day because the feather pillows are like air that don’t provide neck support at all. It is a real challenge to find vacant Pool lounges, chairs, and umbrellas which are not enough at all for guests, you’ll have to reserve yours before 7:00 am if you are lucky to find any. Broken pool furniture are stacked on pool side as well. Waited half an hour to be seated for breakfast. People who came after us were seated before us. They don’t call you when your table is ready. You’ll have to check for yourself. Breakfast for three adults and two children took about an hour to be served. Extremely disappointed. Cannot wait to go home.

We checked in yesterday and it was easy enough, although there was confusion about whether the $75 resort credit can be used for breakfast the morning of check out. (apparently it can, but had to be noted on our account) The lobby, bar and restaurant have been very tastefully remodeled, however our room has yet to receive the same treatment. It may once have been described as "luxury" or "upgraded," but the Mediterranean style room is dated. The breakfast at Citrus and Palm was good, just not enough of it. We all left hungry. We waited 15 minutes for our check, but there was no record of our order since our server had quit and walked out!?! The large pool is nice, however there is not not enough furniture. Initially we thought some may have been removed for COVID, but there were no restrictions or monitoring of the number of people at the pool. There were several broken loungers, totally unusable, but still poolside and there are not enough umbrellas for a pool in 98 degree Palm Springs weather. Towels ran out and didn't get restocked for sometime, the igloo coolers we were told to use for refilling our water bottles had not be filled for the day and generally the bar staff seemed frazzled. All small things, but things that sour your overall experience. We learned the hotel has been closed for the past year and only re-opened in February. It was also was recently sold to another large chain. There are some evident re-opening pains for sure. Overall, our experience so far has been good, not great and not quite the 4 start hotel experience we were expecting.
