About the Getaway
Playa del Carmen is located on the Riviera Maya and features 75 miles of shoreline. The area is a popular destination for nature lovers and adventurers, as it offers access to tours in the Mayan jungle and snorkeling, diving, and swimming in underground caves and cenotes. Fifth Avenue, a pedestrian walkway and one of the area's top attractions, is lined with hotels, shops, art galleries, restaurants, bars and clubs.
Flights are not included in this deal. However, Cancun International Airport (CUN) is approximately a 45-minute drive from the hotel and has nonstop or one-stop flights from multiple U.S. cities. It was a great weekend holiday. The hotel is beautiful and the whole wellness and plant based food menu was excellent. I was able to just unwind and take care of ourselves. Definitely coming back.

This is one of the best all-inclusive resorts we’ve ever experienced. What’s special about it and sets it apart from others is that the restaurants are plant-based with many varied vegan and vegetarian options all of which are delicious gourmet fare artistically presented (fish and chicken dishes are available upon request), specialty drinks are delicious mock-tails (alcohol added upon request), activities include meditation, yoga, spiritual transformation, sound healing rituals, as well as others, it’s eco-friendly, LGBTQ+ and children friendly, the staff are exceptional, the grounds are pristine, the rooms are spacious with dual showers and great water pressure, and you are assigned a guide upon arrival who will take care of everything such as dinner reservations, spa appointments, or answering any questions you may have. We’ve stayed in more highly publicized and expensive resorts like Sandals, but Palmaia tops them all!

From the moment of our arrival, I felt special! The juice and cool cloth in the lobby! The golf cart ride to our hotel on the one and only street for the resort- refreshing since there’s a lot of holistic activities. The food- magnificent, you will have plenty to eat all hours of the day and all plant based! The room is spacious and tastefully decorated with no plastic water bottles. This is the future of the hotel industry.

Absolutely love it! Great organic food (delicious vegan, but there is a meat substitute also). Beautiful surroundings, quiet, peaceful. Lots of yoga, breathing, meditation, healing, art classes. Most of them are in nature. Beautiful not crowded swimmable beach. Great service. rooms are beautiful with great ocean view.

I love Palmaia. The property is beautiful and never crowded. The staff is amazing - always friendly and eager to make sure you have the best experience. The beach at Palmaia is literally one of the best I’ve been to in Mexico (large, white sand, wide variety of seating options). Love all of the activities including daily yoga, visiting the onsite cenotes and getting treatments at the spa.
