Rooms were not ready at 4pm, I did not receive a welcome drink, the telephone and safe deposit box didn’t work however, the safe deposit was fixed before the end of our stay. Due to the past hurricane, the beach was full of seaweed and we couldn’t go into the water. The resort is beautiful, the service is great and the food and drinks were delicious!

Doors should close automatically when a guest walks into their room. Anything less is a safety risk.

The hotel grounds and location were a 4/5. The beach was a 3/5. Zero umbrellas, beach chairs or loungers provided or available. Beach was full of debris and seaweed. Water was warm and swimable without coral in the surf. Because of the debris we would not bring our children to this location for safety concerns of what might be in the debris/seaweed. The room although it was freshened up was a 3/5. One kitchen serves the food for all areas of the hotel. Many of the food items were the same at each location whether it was the bar, pool or dining room. Don't know if this is a Puerto Rican thing but getting grilled fish done well or even offered was not possible thru out the whole complex as we visited every restaurant here to see what was offered. If they offered "grilled" fish it was mainly baked. Not the same. No way would we pay more than the special price through Travel zoo for this resort. Hotel is under renovation and the improvements look good. We would visit again for a second try once renovations are completed

Staff were not only very accommodating but welcoming. We felt like family visiting Puerto Rico for the first time. Location is a bit far from other parts of the island. If you want to venture outside of the resort you’ll definitely need a car. But it’s also on the quieter parts so if you’re looking to relax and enjoy the resort it’s fantastic.
