The only thing that upset us is the room tax that we were charged! $250.00 for 3 nights. That is outrageous! I was in shock. I felt like I was robbed of a great time.

The views of El Arco and the other rock formations in the sea are amazing from this hotel. Absolutely beautiful. I liked that there was access to Medano Beach from the hotel.

No fault of Travelzoo at all, but the hotel tries to nickel & dime you at every turn. We didn't have all-inclusive but had breakfast included. Bad experience with phantom charges at checkout. I purchased all my drinks at the local OXO convenience stores and they tried to claim that we had used 2 waters from their mini-bar fridge which was a lie. They waived the charges for that but they charged me over $25 U.S. for diet coke cans I drank at the "included" breakfasts that came with my 3 night package. No one on staff mentioned that diet coke was not included in the breakfast until checkout. Very petty. Lots of little things about this resort that add up to leave a sour taste.

Location is perfect for beach swimming and laying out. The breakfast was good as well, although with the Travelzoo deal, the breakfast doesn't include things like: latte or water- yes, you have to buy water everywhere. The exclusions on this deal need to be included when booked.
BEWARE- DO NOT attend the breakfast at El Patron they offer when you check in- it is a time share presentation that takes several hours. You have to be firm when you say "no." They will bribe you with all sorts of free things and deals- just say NO!
This hotel is perfectly situated close to downtown and has a wonderful view. We would stay here again just for the location.

Very good value for what we paid. Room was massive. Older but very comfortable. Facilities were great. Location amazing. Our 2 year old loves it.
Some staff were very friendly and went above and beyond, but some were just ok.
Overall would recommend to other people.

This was our 1st time to Los Cabos and, obviously, our 1st time at Villa del Arco (VDA). VDA is 1 of 3 resorts that are right next to each other and managed by the Villa group. The resort is very well maintained. The room was very clean. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. We loved the atmosphere at VDA; it was relaxed and on the quiet side. The Villa de Palmar (VDP) seemed to be more geared to those looking for more of a party atmosphere. We really enjoyed the all-inclusive package. We had our evening meals at the El Patron and The Neptune at VDA, and Bella California at VDP. They all offer beautiful open-air or patio dining right beside the beach, and we thought the meals were very good with very good variety on the menus. We actually made our dinner reservations a couple of weeks before we arrived to be sure we got the restaurants and times we wanted. We used our resort credit on spa services at the Desert Spa at VDA and it was very good also. This package was for a garden view room, but somehow got upgraded to an ocean view room-an added bonus. We weren't sure what to expect with this resort, but they met or exceeded our expectations in every way!

I was put into a handicapped accessible room, I did not find that out until we got to the room. We called and were told there are no other rooms available. I have recently had back and hip surgery, so somewhat handicapped myself right now - and it was VERY difficult for me to bend over to use the sink every time i had to wash my hands. I NEVER went into the kitchen, because all of the counters were low as well.
We were not given a good explanation about how the all inclusive meals worked and ended up eating at some restaurants that were NOT on the plan.
I was very disappointed with my Neck and Back massage, which i was talked into upgrading..I explained that I wanted most of the time on my neck and back and she told me, "no problem, you will explain it to the therapist"....well, the therapist spoke no english and as hard as I tried, i received a regular massage with hardly any time on my neck and back.
