About the Destination

Flights are not included in this deal. However, Cancun International Airport (CUN) is approximately a 40-minute drive from the hotel and has nonstop or one-stop flights from multiple U.S. cities. Occupancy Rules: Based on double occupancy. Maximum occupancy in a King room is three guests; maximum occupancy in a Two Double room is four guests. Additional adults can stay for $60 (plus tax) more per night. Up to 2 children ages 11 and younger can stay for no additional fee. Breakfast for third and fourth guests will be available for additional costs.

Additional Hotel Specific Charges: A daily 19% tax, a daily $1.40 environment fee (per room) and 15% resort fee (per guest, per night) is additional and will be paid directly to the hotel. The resort fee covers on-property bikes and golf cart transportation, waterway ferry transportation to other Mayakoba resorts, Wi-Fi, Kimbo Kids Club, minibar in guest rooms (no alcohol), flip-flops in guest room, sauna and steam room access, self-parking and transport to golf course.

There’s not enough activities for families. A lot of misinformation between staff. Did not have information regarding activities in the area. Not much info on how to navigate the huge facility. I had a few hiccups but the staff tried to make it up to me and it was greatly appreciated.

From the moment we arrived we felt we made the right decision of booking Mayakoba. The staff was so welcoming and attentive. They took all the precautions necessary with COVID and everyone was wearing masks and sanitizing hands at all times. Our room was perfect with a view to the lagoon, dinner at sotavento, saffron, agave azul and breakfast at tinta de pulpo were delicious. Our favorite part was the bike ride nature trail and the lagoon tour. We will definitely be making a return trip to Andaz in the future.

Wonderful! What an awesome week we had at Andaz Mayakoba. This a beautiful, safe, clean gem of a resort. The visit was especially wonderful, because the resort was so uncrowded... It was such a serene and beautiful setting, with perfect service!

The staff - servers, chefs, housekeeping, valets, concierges - were all so polite, professional, and welcoming. We were treated so well. We didn't want to leave!

It was hard to fully compare this trip to others in Mexico due to COVID, as the resort was operating at a limited capacity, so I'm giving 5 stars as we really appreciated their creativity in making the amenities and services available to the extent possible. I really appreciated their care and safety, they checked our temperatures upon our arrival, as all employees were masked, they provided hand sanitizer prior to your meals, and even steamed the cushions at the beach front restaurant between guests! Hand sanitizer and masks were also provided in our rooms and items that had been sterilized were wrapped and such. Also, the staff was so friendly and accommodating that we are going to go back again when things go back to more normal. We also heard from an employee the efforts the company made to pay and accommodate their staff during the pandemic, which is another reason we will go back to support a great establishment.

Strange time to go with the caronavirus pandemic. We had to leave a day early due to the travel advisory issued after we arrived. Not very many guests, maybe 5 groups on the beach and beach pool area combined. We had complete personalized service. Even during this time, the staff was uplifting, kind and professional. This property is exquisite and had the most amazing food! Between the best burger I’ve ever had in my life, the smoked marlin fish tacos, grilled artichoke salad and all of the other delicacies, we will definitely return. The beaches were the most beautiful I’ve ever experienced, the rooms were spacious and luxurious, loved the minibar and snacks.

The spa experience was better than Vail or the Four Seasons. Highly recommend taking advantage of the hydrotherapy before your treatment. My husband loved the golf course. It was challenging and satisfying.
