About the Destination

Flights are not included in this deal. However, Cancun International Airport (CUN) is approximately a 40-minute drive from the hotel and has nonstop or one-stop flights from multiple U.S. cities. Occupancy Rules: Based on double occupancy. Maximum occupancy in a King room is two guests. Rooms with two queen beds are available for an additional charge (+$20 per night). For parties of three or more, you must upgrade to a room with two queen beds. Maximum occupancy in a room with two queen beds is three adults and one child or two adults and two children. The additional cost for one adult is $175 per per night; plus 19% tax and $25 resort fee nightly. Children ages 0-5 stay free in the same room when accompanying adults and do not pay the nightly resort fee; the cost for children ages 6-12 is +$70 per night and the charge for children ages 13-17 is +$100 per night. Extra beds are available for an additional charge (+$55 per night). Bedding is subject to availability at the time of booking.

Additional Hotel Specific Charges: A 19% tax (based on the paid value of the voucher), a $1.50 environmental fee and $25 resort fee per adult, per night (tax inclusive) is not included and will be paid directly to the hotel. The resort fee covers Wi-Fi in the guest rooms and throughout the resort, on-property transportation, nonmotorized water sports and valet parking.

All-Inclusive Plan Details: Unlimited dining and premium-beverage service at El Puerto, Brisas, Hix Bar-Lounge and Terrace, Bamboo, Brisas and Beach service during operating hours. Also includes in-room dining from 7:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. subject to a US$5 delivery and 15% service charge. A select number of specialty menu items (shown with * on the menus) and breakfast at Brisas are subject to surcharge. Drink service is by the glass (full bottles not included). A food-and-beverage service charge is included. Excludes Cafe Maya, El Camaleon (clubhouse and golf course), Willow Stream Spa and any food/beverage at Rosewood, Banyan Tree and Andaz Resorts.

Cancellation and Other Hotel Policies: Until the voucher’s expiry date, Travelzoo will give you a full refund of your purchase if you can't find dates that suit you or you can't travel. I felt like that hotel was built into a swamp Very much overrated. To get to the beach you had to wait for a golf cart ( or walk 15 minutes). Final bill in pesos so it was hard to review.

My husband and I went here for 7 nights in December 2020. We had the all inclusive package. We stayed in a Signature Casita close to the gym and spa area. Everything and everyone at this resort was wonderful. Our lagoon view was exceptional as was our room & bathroom. We loved the shared bike system to get around the property. The food was delicious! We really loved the breakfast 'buffet'. They had to tweak the system a bit for Covid19.... The large pool was a pleasure to swim in and hang out at. The area is so well maintained and luxurious. The section of beach for the hotel was perfect. (the beach is one mile from the lobby/spa area) They had great beach loungers and service, as well as a nice pool close by for a dip. We have already purchased another 7 night voucher to return!

We had a couples massage one day and it was very luxurious and special. In addition to the included activities at the Fairmont there are also fun and interesting things to do on the Mayakoba property. We paid extra to do the water bikes on the canal. It was $50 per person, but so fun! Also try to make it to the on property cenote. It is a free activity. You can descend into the cenote & walk around. It was worth a look. It is very close to the wee El Pueblito 'town'. The 'town' of El Pueblito is also worth a quick look around as there is a church and a wonderful store.

My fifth time here. Starting to disappoint. Food has slipped dramatically. We ordered lobster one night (for a reasonable extra fee), and it was inedible. Like mush all the way through. Could cut it with your finger. Why the chef couldn’t see this was beyond me. Even the waiter was shaking his head. The little things guys are just not there anymore. People always friendly but when asked for things usually was forgotten about. I upgraded to a beach front room and I think I called for an ice bucket 5 times. I still don’t think it has gotten there. The little frustrations that aren’t needed on a vacation. . Kids club forces you to spend money as the “free” services are mixed between the non free. I’m going back to NIZUC..... New Italian restaurant not good. The older Asian fusion was way better. The breakfast buffet was a waste as well (I realize it’s hard in a pandemic) but just make people order off the menu.

Vacationing beginning of December 2020, the hotel was about 30% capacity. The beach and lounge area were so nice without the crowds. This is one of the best beaches in Mexico, the only unsightly things were the huge sandbags out in the ocean (we were told it is to prevent seaweed from washing ashore)

The ocean is not near the villas, but trams run frequently or grab a bike. It wasn’t an issue. The pool area is sprawling and gorgeous. The canal boat ride was fun. I wish they still used the canal boats to move about the resort!

I would highly recommend. Of note, Accor should consider investing in upkeep. They have acquired a great and distinct property, unique concept, excellent location - but it is time to invest e restructure common areas and rooms to retain the original distinctive profile.
