About the Destination
Just north of the Atlas Mountains, Marrakesh was founded in the 11th century as a trading post for caravans returning from the Sahara Desert. Today, the city is renowned for its stunning examples of Moorish architecture and ancient Medina, which was inducted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985.
To reach the city, fly into Marrakesh Menara Airport (RAK); from there it's a 30-minute taxi or ride share to the resort.
