We would prefer to book flights separately. We like to fly in and out of GRB as opposed to MKE

We loved the small boutique, all inclusive hotel concept. The staff was wonderful on all levels. The hotel is showing a little wear which they should address and not allow it to get away, the place is truly a treasure.

We quite enjoyed several of the restaurant service and host people. Many of them were very nice and trying very hard. Except for cold coffee we liked the food and the choices given. The coffee pots currently being used don't keep the coffee hot enough or long enough. The location to the water and the beach is outstanding. Good entry into the water too. Love the nearby boardwalk!

Cleanliness, tidiness, overall maintenance and attention to detail was not up to snuff. Examples: table tops around the pool area not cleaned off everyday, small debris including paper/tissue not cleaned out of the pool everyday, cigarette butts not cleaned up consistently, many of the beach lounge chairs were old-dirty or broken including the beach umbrellas. The trim parts along the face of the bar were missing and never replaced. Loose water faucet in Men's bathroom. The room: Only got hot showers about half the time, bottom edge of curtains very dirty, mattress old and worn out, surfaces look like they got a quick once over but were not super clean, dirt behind the bed and dressers, light bulbs not replaced, bedspread could have been cleaner, noticed some hairs stuck on the wall from previous guests, sink cracked, traffic noise outside because its located very near the main road. It had the feeling of absent owners who are milking the cash flow and not investing back into the hotel. Another annoyance was the bar wasn't always staffed enough so sometimes, particularly happy hour time, you had to wait quite long for a drink.

Overall a fun and pleasant trip. The hotel is sort of no frills but has everything you need for a nice weekend away. The staff is very nice but occasionally a little absent. The only real compliant I have is not within the hotels control--the constant horn blowing from the roadway traffic was frustrating because you could not sleep in or totally relax by the beach or pool. When I leave NYC I want to get away from honking horns so I would stay at a hotel that is further away from the road next time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return. The resort has an "independently-run" feel about how it is managed and there are small areas for improvement, but overall the positives of the resort's small size, all of the rooms' close proximity to the ocean, and the delicious and varied food from the sole restaurant, were enough to outweigh the negatives.

This resort is for you if you want: intimacy, simplicity, serenity, close proximity to the ocean, & great food. This resort is not for you if you want: to feel pampered, to be entertained, or to party.

This was my first time using Travel Zoo and I was really impressed. Everything was seem less and went well and the price was great. The hotel was in a beautiful setting right on the beach. The all inclusive food was fantastic. Everything cooked to order and presented professionally, no buffet lines to deal with. The only minor constructive feedback I’d give to the resort is that they did not always replenish the towel and other bathroom items as often as I felt were needed. It was no problem going to the front desk and getting what you needed but that’s an inconvenience. There was also one day where it took about 20 minutes for the shower water to get hot. Otherwise we loved this resort and we loved Barbados!

We were very disappointed to arrive and be told that the hotel we booked (SoCo Hotel) did not have a room for us for the first 2 nights of our 4 night stay. Instead, they had arranged a rom for us at another resort, SeaBreeze Beach House. After being assured that SeaBreeze was an equivalent or better hotel (although not an adults only resort, as we had purposely booked) and that we would have an equivalent or better room to what we had booked and paid for at SoCo (a king oceanfront), we agreed to go. When we arrived, we were given a room with double beds and little to no ocean view. I refused the room and insisted on what we had booked and paid for with SoCo and had been told we would receive at SeaBreeze. We were already accepting a resort that was not adults-only, but we were absolutely not going to accept a lesser room and view! After calling SoCo to see if they would pay for the “upgraded” room (b/c I had certainly made it clear that we were not paying more when we had already paid for this type of room), we were told it would be a little longer, but they would arrange one for us. So after losing the first 4 hours of our vacation to this frustrating shuffling around, we finally were checked into our room. Then of course we had to turn around and pack up and move to SoCo 2 days later. It was disappointing to lose time of an already short vacation due to a hotel overbooking their rooms and then them not making sure their guests received an equivalent room ASAP, or any other sort of compensation for that matter. While they were both nice hotels, there were children everywhere at SeaBreeze, and that is NOT equivalent to an adults-only setting!!

The food was fantastic, although meal service seemed very disorganized. The staff was sometimes friendly, sometimes aloof. Housekeeping was minimal. The beach was amazing, and there are lots of restaurants and bars along a great boardwalk that ends at the hotel. You can run/walk for miles along the beach and boardwalk. The hotel is extremely small and apparently frequently overbooks, so I would not risk booking there again.

The Soco is a small (26 room) All Inclusive. You really get to know most of the people at the resort, and it almost becomes a family atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly and they too get to know most of the patrons. Food is excellent and service very good!!

Vacation was wonderful. Only complaints would be with scheduling of airlines. Had great difficulty with obtaining boarding pass with Air Canada for initial flight from Philadelphia to Toronto. Also, for return flights, it would have been much smoother if both legs of the flight were with the same airline. TSA is also a very sore subject. There is no set rule among airports. I think passengers should be made aware of the differences prior to beginning the trip. Examples: no shoes; no belts; empty pockets; etc Some airports require these & some don’t. Extremely inconsistent. I think Travelzoo should advise customers of these inconsistencies.

Very friendly, warm, welcoming. Food and drinks were very good. Room was better than expected...clean, well maintained. Bathroom was spotless.
