It was 35-40 min. from the South Entrance to Yosemite. Clean and quiet. We saw a mother black bear with 2 cubs on the last morning. That was great. Customer service was excellent. Check in was easy.

We went to the pool and spa next to the Lake. It was nice and quiet. Our only suggestion to the Pines Resort is: if a kitchen, pots and pans, dishes and utensils are provided, why not a small bottle of oil, salt and pepper?

The chalet was so cute, confortable and very clean. We had everything we needed there. A market, coffee shop, restaurants, gas, even a post office. It was great.

i had a really good time at pines resort, the people there are so friendly from the front desk to the Restuarant Wokers and even the groundskeeper that I met. the chalet was nice and warm. the kitchen had the dishes and pot and pans to do some cooking with a stove and full-size refrigerator. the tv in the living room was big with a lot of channels. the room downstairs was nice with double queen beds and the shower in the room was great with enough room for a bath and plenty of hot water. there is a loft where the kids made it there hide out. the only bad thing was the sofa bed in the living room was uncomfortable. maybe next time I'll call front desk for an air mattress. the outside is great with a big pool and hot tub, a ice rink, big size chess play and even some bowling pins. they had a little arcade room with pin pong and board games. the impressive thing was the Marketplace they had, it is like a Safeway in there. i think the local people use that to shop because they had so much stuff in there. they have a pizza place, ice cream place and even a bar there. the cool thing is they have a Shell gas pump at the resort too. we went in the Ducey's restaurant and had dinner there, they did forget to place my order, but they didn't charge me for it when they brought it out. we gave them the $50 voucher for our dinner, but the waitress forgot to credit us, i think because it was really busy. we went back and they did apologize and credited back to us. i have to say the staff there is very genuine and very nice. it must be the mountain air because now a days you don't see that much around lol.

We had a nice stay. Rooms a little dated, TV and Wi-Fi not so great. But we would stay again.
