The people who worked there who clearly do the best that they can and work very hard. They clearly need more help at this hotel.

Although the room was spacious and initially appeared clean it wasn’t. I think the room cleaner does a good job at what they are supposed to do .But it was clear that the room really needed a deep cleaning. I opened a window and had “gunk” all over my hands The lamps had a yrs worth of dust on them. I dropped the one tiny soap that was provided on the bathroom floor and when I cleaned it up the tissue was filthy. The door to the room was so difficult to open and close I had to push my body against it.

Very nice and hospitable staff. So many things are within walking distance with wonderful restaurants and great and picturesque cross bridges.

There is a wonderful view of the river and the farm that is located a short distance from the hotel.

Large, beautiful room. However, there were two missing/burned-out lamp bulbs and a reading lamp with a cord not-reaching an outlet. All other amenities were excellent. Great location within walking distance of downtown. Nice view of a river from terrace.

Clearly the hotel had just opened and some things were yet done like screens on the widow so that we could hear the river rather than the A/C but given CoVid circumstances certainly understandable. We had a beautiful view of the river. I think the path to the river could be cleared out a bit.

Something we didn't understand is the price for the Tavelzoo.com deal seemed higher than if we had just gone on line directly to the Shire's website.
