Why We Love It

  • The on-site AAA 4-Diamond restaurant uses classic French cooking techniques with locally sourced ingredients — think Hudson Valley Foie Gras — it's also rated No. 1 for New Marlborough restaurants on TripAdvisor
  • Each of the Inn's guest rooms is individually decorated with restored colonial pieces like four-poster beds, fireplaces and claw-foot bathtubs
  • It's only 20 minutes driving to prime skiing at Butternut Mountain, where you'll find 22 runs totaling in 100 skiable acres
  • It's also less than 15 minutes driving to top hiking and snowshoeing destinations with waterfall views like Umpachene Falls Park or Campbell Falls

Occupancy Rules: Based on double occupancy. Extra persons are $40 per night including breakfast; additional meals will be charged a la carte. Maximum occupancy is between two and five guests, depending on the room; please call the inn to inquire.

Additional Hotel Specific Charges: A 5.7% tax and 10% service charge are not included and will be payable directly to the hotel. Parking is complimentary. Pets are only allowed in room 206 and incur a $40 pet fee per stay.

Food was good but the property needs sprucing up. No coffee, tea or ice available in the building. For the price it was lacking the usual amenities of an Inn B&B . We made the best of it but have stayed in much better places for the cost.

They advertise free wi-fi but there isn’t any. Also no cell service for Verizon customers and a charge to use their phone.

My husband and I had a nice stay at the Inn. The food was fantastic! A few suggestions; internet service is needed in Thayer House, bedding could have been more luxurious. Otherwise everything else was great! Thanks

Meridith, the wife and co-owner shouted and screamed at us "YOU PEOPLE, tried to get every little thing you could from us. Don't ever come back." as we were leaving after having no electric and water in our room due to a storm.

Second foliage stay here. The nearby deli was excellent. The Wed night dinner at the Inn was somewhat disappointing ( the lamb prep wasn't to my liking) but our overall stay was very enjoyable

Given this is somewhat off the beaten path, the Inn could really use faster, more reliable internet service, It hasn't improved in the 3 years from our initial stay here

Room was very nice and well appointed however the jacuzzi tub, while clean on the outside, was not cleared out, so the jets contained hair and residue from previous guests. We had to run two baths and then shower after.
