"The only downside was finding the hotel. The Cabbies and Shuttles knew the area but there are various Marriotts within blocks of each other and they got confused."

Putting guests within walking distance of Times Square, the Empire State Building and Madison Square Garden, this Fairfield Inn & Suites makes a great home base for a midtown Manhattan getaway.

Built into a former church and opened in May 2019, the hotel keeps historic touches like brick wall interiors and stained glass windows from the early 1900s. (The hotel also shares an entrance with their neighbor, Springhill Suites.)

Rooms feature city views, USB outlets to keep your phones fully charged, coffeemakers and mini-refrigerators. The 55-inch flat-screen TVs can stream Netflix and Wi-Fi is free. All guests also receive a free breakfast buffet daily with eggs, sausage, waffles, pastries and more.

Bar 1905 in the lobby serves drinks and small plates; there's also a fitness center, business center, and even guest laundry for those reserving longer stays.

Had a little trouble with connecting to WiFi. Instructions could be posted in the room. Also, found a pair of dirty underpants behind the curtains on our way out. So housekeeping should check for this. The location and price were great especially with the Travelzoo discount for valet parking.

New clean hotel in convenient location In Hell’s Kitchen / Garment District. The hotel was at capacity. This presented a problem with elevator use and breakfast seating. We had to walk down 25 flights after waiting for elevator for nearly a half an hour. I also had to call the hotel after checking out because I was not credited with the discounted valet and room food credit that were part of the travelzoo deal.

Elevator service and noise was unacceptable. Breakfast service was very crowded and I adequately staffed.

The hotel was in an excellent location- able to walk to subway, penn station, Times Square. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Especially Alex who helped us with directions and our bags- he was very friendly and helpful. The food was very good for breakfast. There are still some logistics that need to be worked out- such as breakfast a few times they made the coffee wrong and told the canisters away- no coffee for the guests, the milk and cream were out and not refilled. Our hotel room was not cleaned a few nights and no towels refilled until we asked. Also the elevator took 20 min to pick us up from the 22nd floor to get to the lobby. Also might want to consider changing the fact that you need to use your room key to access the elevator because you are constantly passing your room key to the person at the front of the elevator to access your floor- room keys can get mixed up. Overall a good experience but some things need to be worked on.

Good experience, particularly the ease of booking and friendliness of staff.

Very poor and unacceptable breakfast set-up. For example, hotel management is aware that patrons visit the dining room in larger numbers between 8-9 a.m., yet they fail to assign staff to fill coffee pots, provide napkins, replenish condiments, including cheese, spinach, and salsa, and provide bagels when they run out. Instead, management posts red light images with times of peak visits to the dining room, - hoping that visitors will not eat breakfast during those times. Thus, visiting the dining room for breakfast is a very bad experience, not to mention the lack of seating for diners and having to leave the area unfulfilled, hungry, and thirsty. In some instances, the visits resulted in departure for nearby restaurants, making the entire experience lacking when compared to other similar hotels.

Awesome deal with great flight times and hotel’s location

Although daily breakfast was included, due to nonstop traffic and not enough staff to keep up with refills and cleanliness we did not take the advantage of this offer
