Great spot for skiing and snowmobiling Brian Head. Enjoyed cooking in the kitchenette. Very basic but just what we needed. Moved the dining chairs to the bedroom window with a big ledge as our table. Awesome view of it snowing while we enjoyed our meals.

We were just taking a quick getaway for fall break and this was a wonderful choice. I have never had such a friendly staff anywhere we stayed before. They were always keeping in touch and very happy we were there. I had a little mishap and came down with a bad case of altitude sickness and they made it easy to cut our stay short. The room was pretty nice with a great view. The bathtubs are gigantic and the fireplace was great.

Rooms were clean, nice amenities, the only issue is the lack of breakfast in the resort and in the area itself.
The resort only offered a frozen burrito to be bought and the only place within 5 miles had a croissant with ham, do not expect more than that for breakfast.

The kitchenette is too small with a BIG microwave, silver trays are broken. 2) the dinning area is too small, dark without a light overhead, the small area with old fashion big wooden table occupying more space, and 3) the bathroom is too small with a BIG Bathtub. The suite has design and structurally problems.
In summary, this deal is a frustration of purpose (contract term), the total purpose of the trip is completely frustrated, the event anticipated the frustration is the Basis of the margin of this contract, and the frustration is not contemplated at the beginning of the contract, So I am 100% frustration and would like to have my $$$ back, about $400 dollars. Thank You!!!

Great attention to detail, even the soap was special; very clean; many amenities--carts to load your gear, elevators; big room with gas fireplace, lots of storage cabinets in room; kitchenette is well-equipped except no stove, but I brought my electric frying pan. Big indoor pool and spas. EV charging station in every underground parking area. Friendly and accommodating staff. Restaurant is overpriced. Lodge is beautifully situated surrounded by golden aspen. We will return.

We appreciate that the room was clean, only issue we had was when my husband tried to flush the toilet, the toilet wouldn’t flush and he had to take the top off the tank and discovered the chain was not attached to the handle and then we saw some mold in the tank and also the clothes closet door didn’t slide very easily.

We liked the fireplace but they need at least two luggage stands. The fish and chips in the restaurant was very good and the workers were friendly.

There was - different than advertised - no jetted tub but a standard hot-tub in the room. The check-in staff told us they did this in many rooms; one reason for us to book that specific room was the jetted-tub.
The room was not made up (we were only told after we politely asked the service personnel and they told us they only provide room cleaning for a stay longer than 7 days "due to Covid").
Both issues were not adressed beforehand but only when we asked them specifically.
In the pool area one of the hot tubs and the sauna was not properly working during our stay.
Very friendly, everyone from the men doing maintenance to the front desk were always helpful. I even had the security man stop when I was in town to check if I was ok or needed anything. The view outside my window was perfect. Would have liked reg chairs in the patio area, adirondack chairs are hard for me to in and out of but loved setting outside so used picnic tables

The hotel was pretty well equipped and the rooms comfortable. The rooms are in need of being updated, though. To not have a USB port in the room seems a bit out of touch. The staff was friendly and the location was fine. I would go back.

The only other comment is my ongoing disdain for resort fees. To me, it is a fraudulent way to advertise an artificially low price. The price should not be $65 plus resort fee plus tax, it should be $85 plus tax since one cannot opt out of the resort fee. Also, if a resort fee is being collected, all elements that the fee represents should be working perfectly. They weren't. One of the hot tubs was not hot and the jets in both didn't seem to work. Either way, the room was a good value, so the falsely low nightly price was completely unnecessary.

We had a fantastic stay at Cedar Breaks Lodge. The kitchen was so useful when traveling with a family. We also loved the hot tub after a busy day of adventuring. Our view out the bedroom window was beautiful! My only complaint was there is no lock on the master bedroom door. Having separate sleeping spaces was great for some privacy, but that was definitely hampered by a non-locking door!

I had called the resort early in the afternoon to let th know we would be late. We arrived around. Midnight. Found put that it had an indoor pool. The only access was a great number of steps...the elevator had been out of commission for a long time, according to the staff. (I have limited mobility and use a rolling walker) My daughter went with the security guard to view the situation and came back and said I would not be able to negotiate the great number of steps. Altho they stated on their website that the spa was out of order, no mention of the unusable elevator was mentioned.
Next we were given our room cards in an envelope that the clerk had written the room number on...3202. We took our luggage up to the second floor and tapped the card and the light turned yellow. We tried this several times. I asked my daughter to call the front desk...she was put on hold. As we were waiting, a young couple opened the door from the inside. We compared the card sleeves and we both had the same number. This was close to 1:00AM. I then called the front desk from my phone and the clerk answered. We were to be in room 3204. Our cards worked for that room. A service person came up with a sleeve that had 3204 on it.
We checked out at 10:00AM on Sunday morning by leaving our entrance cards on the table. It is Wednesday morning and I still have not received a receipt from the establishment.
We left the room in order...all dishes done, beds stripped and bedding laying on bed, all towels left in pile in bathroom, and sleeves and cards on table. I am concerned as they blocked $200 on my credit card and we did not use restaurant or gift shop.
They do have a fabulous housekeeping staff. Very friendly and well groomed.

Good value for the money and always nice to have a kitchen given the high cost of eating out. The staff were very gracious and went out of their way to be helpful. I do wish however that the room had AC since very warm during summer. Also, the window coverings need to be replaced to achieve full darkness.
Otherwise, everything was good.

Brittany (Brittzy), Shalee, Alicia at the front desk were ALWAYS cordial, of good humor and always looking to provide additional information, dining suggestions or anything else that would have made our short visit better. Our room was too hot the entire stay (2316), and even the ceiling and standing fans only moved the hot air. Opening windows didn’t help - the AC was set to 77 degrees and could not be moved.
We look forward to returning with extended family.

We booked our first Travelzoo experience when we saw Cedar Breaks Lodge & Spa. What we liked is that this location in Brian Head, Utah was within driving distance from our home in Las Vegas. We wanted to go somewhere for a quick getaway and a place that could offer some relief from the hot summer in Las Vegas. Brian Head is beautiful. The drive there was easy. Once we arrived at Cedar Breaks Lodge & Spa we realized it is a perfect summer getaway, and for those who like winter and skiing, it's also a great place. One must realize though the town of Brian Head can get sleepy after about 6pm. So be sure to hit a grocery store prior to arriving to stock up the fridge in your unit. We had a one bedroom suite which offered a separate sitting area with a sleeper sofa for our two kids. The kitchen doesn't have much counter space, but a great stove, microwave, coffeemaker and utensils to make a basic meal. We did this for dinner two of our 3 nights to reduce the cost of eating out every meal. We made the drive to Parawan for its famous cinnamon rolls, then also went to Cedar City to attend a play at the Utah Shakespeare Festival at Southern Utah University. We also enjoyed a hike at the Alpine Pond Trail -- a very doable hike for a family with children. My kids enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi at Cedar Break Lodge & Spa. We also roasted marshmallows at the outdoor space at the lodge. If you have really young kids there's also a playground for them to enjoy too. The staff at the lodge was very friendly. They were attentive and quick to respond to our needs for new towels and toiletries in our room. Again, be sure to bring basic breakfast foods to your room, otherwise you'll spend quite a bit on coffee, cereal or a breakfast sandwich at the coffee shop on the first floor.

They did not have air conditioning in the rooms. It does get cool at night, but I was disappointed not to have air because the daytime was warm and the room was pretty warm all night even with the window open. The location was great once there, the road was extremely steep to get to the lodge!
