Why We Love This Hotel

  • From Robert DeNiro and chef Nobu Matsuhisa, this is the first Nobu hotel in Mexico
  • Features four swimming pools, a full spa and plenty of beachfront
  • And of course, there's an outpost of the famed Nobu restaurant on site
  • "From its sleek design to its wealth of amenities, this just may be Nobu's finest work yet" (Robb Report)

Bringing a little bit of Japanese-influenced style and minimalist decor to the Baja Peninsula, the Nobu Hotel Los Cabos sets 200 luxurious rooms and suites along the Los Cabos shoreline.

Rooms here feature traditional Onsen teak soaking tubs, 65-inch TVs, in-room Nespresso machines and nightly turndown service. Golf View rooms give you a nice view of the nearby courses (one of which was designed by Tiger Woods), but upgrades to Ocean View and Swim-Up rooms are also available. Suite stays include butler service and private terraces.

Naturally, dining is a main focus of a Nobu resort. The hotel's famous namesake restaurant has an outpost here that serves Japanese fusion cuisine, sake and cocktails, while Malibu Farm features the same kind of laid-back organic farm-to-table menu made famous in places like Miami, Hawaii and (of course) Malibu. Looking for a drink? You needn't go far -- there are seven bars, including one on the beach and a swim-up option.

The hotel features a 13,000-square-foot spa with hydrotherapy circuit and wellness-focused activities like yoga classes, a large fitness center and spinning area.

I wanted to live this place! It’s stunningly beautiful when you arrive but As a newer hotel they have ALOT of kinks to work out. The food and drinks were inconsistent. You waited forever to get drinks at the pool , even when you’ve paid for an expensive cabana. Some of the staff was wonderful and some were rude and unhelpful. They were completely unprepared for the rain we had. There’s not enough places to eat, especially in the rain. It was too quiet, I think they piped the spa music to the pool area. Just not my vibe but I’m sure it is for some people.

Very, very isolated. LIMITED EATING CHOICES. Looks to be under facilitated to handle a full house.

Gorgeous hotel! Rooms were beautiful and large, with amazing views. Our room came with a butler, who was constantly checking on us to assist us. Food was delicious, which is a good thing because the hotel is kind of marooned from the rest of Cabo. This is a brand new hotel, so you can tell they are still working out the service kinks, but once they do, this will be a true 5 star resort.

Definitely check out the spa! Great amenities and peaceful. Also, take advantage of the complimentary fitness classes and kids club.

Nobu Hotel Cabo is amazing. We decided it's like a high end Japanese design firm took the Getty Museum (in LA) and turned it into a Mexican beach resort. From the materials used to little design details, it feels quite luxurious. The staff were exceptional -- top notch service from the moment you are greeted (by name) as you exit your car to every interaction thereon. Brandon took especially good care of us from the pool bar, Javier and his pals at Nobu's bar were so kind, and Yosbet, our wonderful butler was very considerate. The food -- at Nobu (of course), but also Malibu Farm and the pool's Playa Bar -- was all delicious, as were the drinks! There were some little glitches as they are still in their soft opening, but the staff bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. And we were! A wonderful place to spend our 20th wedding anniversary -- we'll go back for sure.

Absolutely love the service! We had our own butler, Josbeth, whom made sure our stay was comfortable and what we wanted each day. Our servers daily, Gustavo (manager at Malibu. Farms) catered to my food allergies, overseeing each dish. Javier, won the award for best matcha latte in all of the United States and Japan! Amazing! At the bar pool, Horai and Brandon had our drinks flowing and delicious fresh and crispy salads awaiting us daily ! What can I say, Nobu Cabo is an ideal place to zen out, take in the ocean breeze, eat healthy, and truly feel as if you are taken care of without the hassle and worries. THANK YOU NOBU CABO STAFF! We will be back !

Great hotel, great service and great food (and expensive)...it was just way overpriced for a hotel that isnt really fully open yet.

First the good: The hotel is beautiful and the staff is top notch. Service was fantastic and the food was just phenomenal. The major disappoint is with Travelzoo. The hotel is not 100% open. I am, in the hotel development and finance business and I'm well aware of how things work. The grand opening is in November (more than a month away) and this absolutely should've been disclosed by Travelzoo prior to accepting $2133 for 4 nights. It's a really poor business practice, very misleading and I will never use Travelzoo again because of it. Essentially the hotel is financing their completion by using a soft-opening to generate revenue while they put on the finishing touches. Many of the rooms were not yet in service. Workers were all over the property working to try and get the property ready for the grand opening in mid November. Workers were staining/treating some of the wood, presumably to weatherproof it and the smell of chemicals was strong, especially by one of the pools. The ocean front suite are still mostly, if not entirely unfinished. My room was nice but there were issues with lighting not working right (the first night we had an overhead light on all night). I'm sure Travelzoo was aware of this situation and it should've been disclosed prior to allowing me to book and go no refundable. By the time I was aware of the situation, I was on property and had been charged for the 4 nights. Incredibly disappointed in Travelzoo and I'd be surprised if they even post this review. The hotel was great but my overall travel experience was compromised by Travelzoo.

Beyond expectations! What an amazing experience my friends and had. We set up a shuttle to pick each of us up since we arrived on different times and days which met us right outside the airport. The drive was smooth and short, maybe 40ish minutes to the hotel. Upon arrival you are greeted by some staff and beautiful architecture. This property is so crazy beautiful and zen like. Always kept in amazing condition and clean. I did not literally find one thing wrong with this place. We decided to upgrade which was a great choice. At first It was a suite with a balcony but opted for a suite with patio and swim up pool. I can not describe how it felt to wake up every morning and have coffee out there. Pure bliss and heavenly. Claudia assisted us the entire time with reservations, checked in to make sure we were doing well throughout each day and etc... She was warm, sweet and very helpful. I recommend having her to assist you with your needs and reservations while on the resort. Malibu Farm we had each morning and it was perfection. Service was great and the food was delicious. Must try the avocado pizza!!! Nobu Restaurant is always a good choice no matter what city you are in. They have their restaurant on the property of course and it always meets your expectations especially if you enjoy sushi. Salmon and the cod is also super good and melts in your mouth. Mezcal margaritas were our go to the entire trip and it was always a hit. Take advantage of the teak tub experience, how often do you have that in your bathroom seriously?! Never miss a sunset, they are gorgeous. Have to try the spa and it’s amenities, very relaxing. Esperanza is wonderful and walks you through a relaxing process to see and experience it all. I can’t wait to come back, it’s been a week and I’m already having separation anxiety. Highly recommended.
