"One of Jersey's most prestigious addresses" (The Daily Telegraph), The Club Hotel & Spa offers "swish" (The AA) accommodation in the centre of St Helier. It has four AA Red Stars, indicating that the hotel demonstrates "excellent levels of quality" and "outstanding levels of hospitality and service".
The boutique hotel is a 5-minute walk from the shops on pedestrianised Queen Street and from Howard Davis Park, with its walled rose garden and pond. The Havre des Pas seawater bathing pool and Jersey Museum & Art Gallery are about 10 minutes' walk away.
St Helier has much to keep history buffs busy. Elizabeth Castle, which dates from the 16th century, is on a tidal island in St Aubin's Bay. You can reach it via a causeway or a ferry (20 minutes' walk from the hotel). Jersey War Tunnels, Jersey's "best and most poignant museum, dedicated to the island's experience under Nazi occupation" (Lonely Planet) is a 10-minute drive from the hotel.
Bohemia, the hotel's Michelin-starred restaurant, serves à la carte dishes and tasting menus, producing "the most outstanding food in the Channel Islands" (The AA). The spa has a saltwater pool and a menu of organic treatments, as well as an ivy-clad terrace with an outdoor pool. Other facilities include a rooftop cocktail bar, and an honesty bar with a library and board games.
Rooms and suites are decorated in soft earth tones, and have wood furnishings and floor-to-ceiling windows. Each room has free Wi-Fi, a TV and a mini bar, plus a sitting area and a granite bathroom. Suites add entrance lobbies and living rooms, while family suites have two bedrooms and sofabeds. Room service is available 24 hours a day.
