Tenerife's "upmarket" (The Daily Telegraph) Costa Adeje provides the setting for Sunset Bay Club, which offers studios and apartments overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The property is a modern complex of whitewashed villa-style buildings and is five minutes' walk from Playa de Torviscas beach and a 10-minute walk from the marina, with its host of shops and restaurants. The "vast" Aqualand waterpark, "with all the standard slides and pools" (Lonely Planet), is 15 minutes' walk away, while Playa de las Americas, "the tourists' nightlife capital of the island" (The Daily Telegraph), is a 30-minute walk away. The island's capital city Santa Cruz de Tenerife, home to "stunning modern architecture" (The Guardian), takes around an hour to reach by car.
Guests can play table tennis and pool, take a dip in the outdoor pool with its adjacent hot tub and work out in the fitness room (fees may apply). There are two restaurants serving local and international dishes, as well as an on-site bar, and other amenities include a kids' playroom and a grocery shop.
Extending to balconies or terraces, some with sea views, the studios and 1- to 2-bedroom apartments are simply decorated in neutral tones with tiled floors and wood furnishings. All come with kitchens, as well as free Wi-Fi, TVs, and DVD players. Apartments add living rooms, and some have iPod docks.
