Overview
Upon arrival at the 5-star Acqualina Resort & Spa, you'll notice the Ferraris and Lamborghinis lining the driveway. Opulent touches in the common spaces of the resort include palatial fountains, marble-and–gold-leaf columns and grand chandeliers.
Oversized rooms feel more like apartments, which each come equipped with sitting rooms featuring plush wingback chairs and sofas, stocked minibars and a private balcony. Bathrooms have dual vanity sinks, marble floors, Jacuzzi tubs and glass-enclosed showers.
The 20,000-square-foot ESPA spa sanctuary offers 11 different treatment rooms, as well as a Himalayan salt wall, Finnish sauna, crystal steam room, ice fountains and healing heat and water rituals.
Il Mulino New York offers upscale Italian cuisine, while the AQ Chop House by Il Mulino offers steak and fresh, local seafood options. For lighter fare, the Costa Grill allows guests to dine alfresco by the beach. The grab-n-go marketplace offers sandwiches and snacks. Guests have the option to relax at the private beachfront or at one of the four pools, which includes a private spa pool, a family pool and an adults-only pool.
The secluded, intimate vibe of the resort makes for a top-notch getaway for honeymooners and those seeking a bit of quiet and romance, but the hotel is also very family-friendly, offering an expansive children's club with a marine biology program.
The resort is located on Sunny Isles Beach, halfway between Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
