- This luxe resort still feels quite new after celebrating its grand opening earlier this year
If you're among the hundreds of Travelzoo members who have visited this resort's sister properties — the Garza Blanca and Hotel Mousai resort complex in Puerto Vallarta — you've got an idea of what kind of luxe accommodations you can expect at the Garza Blanca Los Cabos. From the spacious suites to the top-tier dining and attentive staff, pretty much everything gets top marks at this soon-to-be-five-star property.
Most Junior Suites feature ocean views, King or Double Queen beds, 49-inch flat-screen TVs, high-tech touches like remote-controlled curtains and USB outlets (plus free Wi-Fi), plus free-standing bathtubs; every room has a private balcony with a hammock. Upgrades to multi-bedroom suites are available, and the resort's Ultra Suites offer full kitchens, laundry rooms and hot tubs on the balcony.
This all-suite beachfront resort sits along the coastline, making it a great place for Cabo's famous whale watching in the winter and early spring months. In addition to the oceanfront location, the resort has eight different pools, including an infinity rooftop pool, a kids pool, a swim-up bar and even a pool with a transparent wall (for nailing that vacation Instagram post). There are also multiple outdoor terraces with fire pits and lounges that feature live music and entertainment in the evening.
The hotel offers a European plan or an all-inclusive option, so guests can take advantage of the five restaurants on site: Rooftop, Hiroshi, Blanca Blue, BocaDos STK steakhouse and even a food truck on the beach for fresh seafood offerings. There are multiple bars throughout the property, including a rooftop bar with ocean views, a coffee shop and even a farmers market.
Even though there's no real reason to leave the resort, the location is especially great — guests are a quick 20-minute drive from the cantinas, clubs and nightlife of Cabo San Lucas to the west, and a similar drive east to the more artsy, tranquil town of San Jose del Cabo.
