water was leaking from air conditioner. Most of carper was wet in that area. Had to change rooms. The room we changed to was not as large. We were given a queen bed but we had booked a king bed. Charged me for the room even though I had already paid it thru Travel zoo. Have to wait to get it removed.

Most staff were friendly and helpful.

People honking their horns for a whole block throughout the night, rowdy noisy people on the street., frequent sirens throughout the night. Room was too warm; could not turn on the fan without the heat going on, and could not leave the window open due to the noise.

Manny, one of the managers, was awesome. He was very personable and made us feel welcome at the hotel. He also assisted us when we needed help with information, directions, and transportation. The hotel is located reasonably well to the National Mall and standard sites. It is very close to two metro stations and very easy to get around the city so location for transportation is very suitable.
Other Comments
The hotel is located in a business area so even though the hotel website advertises it's an active social area I did not find that to be the case. There is a bar next door that is very noisey and you hear the bar activity all night until it closes. The hotel is also very noisey, which they should advise upon the reservation or at check-in. My room was facing the street and even though it was on the 5th floor, ear plugs were provided by the hotel on the desk with a note warning about the noise. The ear plugs had to be used every night and that was uncomfortable for me and so was the high activity of noises all night long - people shouting, lots of emergency vehicles, etc. I was also disappointed in how they handled a mishandled situation. Upon check-in I was told we could buy the Hop on Hop off bus tickets at this hotel for a discount. The next day I purchased two tickets from the coffee bar girl and she required I pay part of the ticket cost in cash and told me the balance had to be paid at the bus and I would receive a $15 discount at the bus. Got to the bus and found out the bus does not process the discount and that the discount should have come from the hotel agent. When I addressed the issue with the hotel managers I was told that she was off and that I wouldn't be able to get a refund and they would offer me a complimentary item at their coffee bar. So warning to travelers, do not purchase your bus ticket discount from this hotel unless you do it with Manny. Since I paid the girl in cash, don't know why I wasn't issued a refund with cash and offering me a free item for the girl's fraudulent transaction did not set well with me. The hotel was adequate for the TravelZoo promotional rate I paid but I would never recommend this hotel at their standard rate. There are many other options that would provide a better lodging experience.

Just a dirty, old hotel. Not what I’ve come to expect from TravelZoo. We were told if it was too hot, too open a window.

The room overlooked an alley and it sounded like waste disposal trucks came and emptied cans and dumpsters at 4 o'clock in the morning. The carpet was dirty. The tub faucet was running when we arrived and was unable to be turned off. Additionally, rooms had no temperature control. We were told that the heat was on and the best thing to do is set the thermostat to 'off' and open the windows. There was complimentary coffee, but you had to go to the lobby for it.

The location was excellent close to silver, blue, orange, and red metro lines and 10 minute walk from the White House. Lots a food options but mostly quick bites.

There a 40 dollar per night incidental refundable deposit which is higher then most. Amenities were very limited- no coffee maker. Walls were very thin. It was oddly difficult to get the staffs attention- they would not offer an opening to conversation even when you walked up to them and the laid back nature of the venue (no desk) made getting help, checking out or in, a bit awkward. If it wasn’t for the location, value, and cleanliness would not recommend.
