Yavapai Lodge - Inside the Park
About the Hotel
Why We Love This Hotel
- The Lodge is only 1.5 miles away from the South Rim, with free shuttle service around the park
- Guests can fuel up at the on-site restaurant before hitting the trail or recap the day's adventures in the Yavapai Tavern
- Rustic yet well appointed; flat-screen TVs come standard in all rooms
The largest of six hotels within the park, the Yavapai Lodge puts guests close to the Grand Canyon's natural beauty without sacrificing modern comforts like an on-site restaurant, tavern and coffee shop. Although guest rooms don't look out on the canyon itself, the lodge's forest setting makes for a relaxing retreat after a day of hiking.
The hotel's draw relies heavily on its proximity to the canyon. Wi-Fi is only available in common areas. Standard Yavapai West rooms accommodate up to four guests and feature a minifridge, coffee maker and flat-screen TV; however, they do not include air conditioning. These rooms do allow pets for a small fee. We recommend upgrading to a Yavapai East room in order to get air conditioning.
Once you've entered the park, parking at the Yavapai Lodge is complimentary. During the daytime, a free shuttle also runs every 10-15 minutes to cart visitors to different parts of the canyon like the famous Bright Angel and Rim trails.
