Overview

Named for the Baptist Church's American founder, the Roger Williams Hotel originally opened in the 1930s before shortening its name and being redesigned as one of midtown’s most stylish hotels in 2012. The lobby embraces its art deco past and features tufted blue velvet sofas, black-and-white photographs and bubble-like light fixtures. From its NoMad location, hotel guests can walk to the Empire State Building or Madison Square Garden in less than 10 minutes.

White-paneled walls in the guest rooms are brightened with oversize prints of New York City’s most famous landmarks, and all rooms include flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, a gourmet minibar and Egyptian cotton bedding. Large, soundproof windows flood the spaces with natural light, and upgraded accommodations, with private, furnished terraces, are also available. All room rates include 24-hour access to the hotel’s fitness center.

The hotel’s Taste of New York Breakfast Pantry features a delicious buffet of treats from notable Manhattan restaurants like Sarabeth’s, Balthazar, H&H Bagels and Petrossian Cafe. Each afternoon, the property hosts a complimentary wine hour, exclusive to overnight visitors. Hometown favorites like the West Village’s Murray’s Cheese Bar make cameos on the on-site Parlour dinner menu. For more privacy, the full menu is available for dinner service en suite or on private terraces.

Rates are based on double occupancy in the King & Queen Rooms and up to four guests in the Two Double Rooms.

Pets: Only service animals allowed.

Fees: A resort/facility fee of $36 plus tax, per night will be added to the total price of your stay upon check out.

The Resort Fee includes:

WIFI throughout the hotel on multiple devices, Daily Manager hosted wine hour from 5 PM - 6 PM, Coffee & Tea Daily 5:30-9AM & 10AM on Weekends, unlimited local and domestic long distance calls, access 24 hours to the newly renovated fitness center, access to Mac Lounge, Daily local newspapers in the Parlour and Lobby area, concierge services and bathrobes placed in rooms upon request.

Self Parking is available for 50-55 USD (subject to tax) per day and Valet Parking is 65-70 USD (subject to tax) per day.

Cancellation: Cancellation policy & booking conditions vary by 'rate plan'. These will be displayed on the payment page after you have searched for your dates and selected a rate.

Additional details: Rooms do offer central heating and air conditioning, but individual room temperature controls are not available.

Credit card used at booking must be presented at check-in and cardholder must be present. Good location easy to get to from GCT and walk or take subway to most Manhattan locations. Friendly desk staff. Rooms are ok size in NYC standard and lobby pleasant with a number of sitting areas to have complimentary morning coffee or talk with a friend or be on the computer.

The hospitality was outstanding! Every member of their staff was helpful and friendly. It's a quaint, boutique hotel in a central location!

The rooms and bathrooms are clean and well maintained. But, like most NYC hotels they're not large. That's why they only got 4 of 5 stars. If you're traveling from other states and expect large rooms: don't .:-) Everything else is wonderful. Will definitely stay there again.
