The Chadwick Hotel is a family-run property with Ribble Estuary views in the refined seaside resort of Lytham St Annes.

Set on the town's waterfront promenade, the hotel is a short stroll from the sandy beach and 10-minute walk along the coast from 19th-century St Anne's Pier, which is packed with amusements.

Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club, which has hosted The Open 11 times, is 15 minutes' walk away, while the centre of Lytham, known for its posh cafes, bars and eateries, is around 20 minutes' walk from the hotel. Fairhaven Lake, which offers motorboat, canoe and rowing boat hire, is the same distance away. The buzzing town of Blackpool, known for its Pleasure Beach, Tower and illuminated displays, takes around 20 minutes to reach by car.

The hotel has a bar offering light bites and drinks, where floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the sea, and a restaurant serving British and international dishes, along with seafood specialities. There is also an indoor pool and a Jacuzzi.

Guestrooms have free Wi-Fi and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Room service is available 24 hours a day.

The dinner menu was a bit limited but kept the cost down. The food was served quickly and was enjoyable. (It was a Christmas dinner meal.)

Decor a bit dated but don't let it put you off. Everything else more than makes up for it, good family, elderly friendly hotel.

The hotel is very tired, needs a major overhaul worn carpets, cracked tiles in the bathroom, broken toilet seat, missing grouting, damaged side tables,a broken window which needed packing with toilet paper and overpainted bannister rails BUT THE STAFF AND THE CLEANLINESS OF THE BEDDING AND TOWELS PLUS AN EXCELLENT SINGER ON FRIDAY NIGHT AND THE USE OF THE POOL,JACUZZI AND SAUNA AND ESPECIALLY A FANTASTIC BAR MEAL ALL MADE OUR VISIT!

reception staff very nice
Other Comments
threadbare carpets, no atmosphere as there were only about 6 people in the hotel. bar area was very cold. We waited a while for service in the bar, and decided to take drinks to our room as the bar area was too cold to sit in. Dinner ok not brilliant, breakfast better but no breakfast menu, just asked if we wanted full breakfast!!

The bedding was clean. The breakfast on the Sunday was good because you could chose what items you wanted. But on the Monday this was served as a standard with set items ie on sausage, one slice of bacon etc. Despite the hotel being tired and needing some modernisation the location was perfect opp the south shore and ten mins walk to the shopping square. Would revisit St Annes but would not stay at this accommodation again.
Other Comments
The not so positive was that the room was very dated, the evening meals was of a very poor quality which seemed to be reheated as opposed cooked to order. There was no choice to purchase other items from the choice menu. The dinning area very dated with no choice where you sat.
