The 4-star Hotel Excelsior is in the Czech spa town of Mariánské Lázně, and is known for Art Nouveau splendour and 140 years of tradition.
All rooms are decorated in a 19th-century style, with original stucco ceilings, dark wood furniture and heavy drapes. From rooms facing south or southwest, you have a view of the old town of Mariánské Lázně.
In the wellness area you will find a sauna and treatment rooms. We recommend a body wrap or a massage with fragrant orange butter. The sister hotel Chateau Monty, around 15 minutes' walk away, offers a saltwater pool, a Roman bath and a gym.
The restaurant 1900 is dominated by red and gold, with golden stucco on the ceilings, red and gold carpets and curtains, and chandeliers.
Mariánské Lázně is known for its numerous healing springs -- 40 of them are in the city, another 100 in the area. About three kilometers east of the city, you will find the Royal Golf Club Mariánské Lázně, which was opened in 1905 by King Edward VII and is still visited by the British royal family.
