Hello Lisbon São Bento Valley Boutique Apartments offers sleek contemporary self-catering accommodation in Lisbon's São Bento district, site of the Portuguese parliament and known for its "interesting antique shops" and "local streets dotted with tiny cafes and restaurants" (Fodor's).
Set along a row of colourful houses on a narrow cobbled alley, the apartments occupy a red-painted traditional building, just a short stroll from the area's notable museums, including Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar, dedicated to the renowned Portuguese painter, and Casa Museu de Amália Rodrigues, former home of the popular fado singer. Both the hip Chiado area, with its high-end shops and theatres, and Bairro Alto, renowned for its buzzing nightlife, are approximately 10 minutes' walk away, while the ornate Basilica da Estrela and its neighbouring landscaped garden are a 15-minute walk from the apartments. Rossio Square, the city's main plaza, takes around 20 minutes to reach on foot.
Hello Lisbon São Bento Valley Boutique Apartments' interiors have a trendy feel. Guests can go for a dip in the compact outdoor pool, sip drinks in the bar, which features wooden floors, funky lighting and arched floor-to-ceiling windows, and relax on the tree-lined patio, where furnished decking meets a manicured lawn.
Studios, bungalows and 1-bedroom apartments sleep up to four people and are decorated in a modern, minimalist style, with wooden floors and furnishings in grey and blue. Each has a kitchenette or a kitchen, a living area with a TV and a dining space, as well as free Wi-Fi and air conditioning; some also have wood-beamed ceilings. Bungalows add loft bedrooms, sofabeds and garden views, while apartments offer separate living rooms and views of the Tagus River. Higher-tariff apartments have balconies, and there are also penthouses offering double river-view balconies.
