The large variety of things to do, the cool temperature outside. They do have issues with maintaining the level they have had in the past of quality upkeep.
Other Comments
The AC was extremely loud and did not cool the room. When we told the front desk they sent someone to check but did not do anything. One of the rooms was fine, The other one was warm and disruptive to sleep. For the elegance of the resort and the fact that they market that is has been remodeled it was very disappointing. Comping a room would have been helpful.

We enjoyed the history of the hotel and the pool facilities. The staff was very friendly and informative. The Great Hall and grounds were impressive. Our room was adequate size, bed was comfortable but the pillows were flat and had no firmness as expected which is why we took our own from home. Food and drink prices were high as expected being a resort. Breakfast food quality was very good, poolside food was also decent, dinner at Jefferson’s was quite pricey but it did have a nice atmosphere.
Other Comments
We did have two very poor experiences with the food quality and prices at Martha’s Market. The Omni needs to take a serious look at what is offered, the terrible quality, specifically the salads, pizza, pastries and their outrageous pricing.

We booked 2 nights. There are too many things to do. We played golf and had great meals. Rooms are large and lovely. We are going back in the fall for 5 nights so we can enjoy more activities. A+!!!

My two grandsons, daughter in law and I traveled there in June. There are enough activities to entertain teen boys. We enjoyed our stay.

The restaurants were grossly overpriced and the food was terrible. 3 out of 4 had to return our burger because it was not beef (they made a mistake) 3 of us ordered duck ($60) and it was overcooked, overpriced and dry. I have been to many Omni Resorts and this one was great except the food in the several different restaurants.
Other Comments
Very clearly lacking quality in the numerous restaurants. This needs immediate attention. We would go back and recommend this hotel but the price/value/quality of the meals was worse than a fast food restaurant. (I rarely complain - we were overcharged for exceptionally poor quality meals. I shared with the front desk. As a result, we will not go back.

The landscape was beautiful and well maintained. The architecture of the building was amazing and had lots of history.
Other Comments
Room was not 4 start ready. There was a piece of hair strand on the towel, the toilet seat was not clean, the bed sheet had visible sticky stain inside, ect. Overall, made you feel like the room was not guest ready.

The resort is beautiful. There is LOTS to do, not only in/on the resort, but off property as well. All of the staff were courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. If it weren't for the Travelzoo deal, we would've waited for a really special occasion to go as it is quite expensive - but it lives up to its reputation as a luxury resort.
