A stay at the Colonial Houses is like stepping back in time. In the heart of the historic district, the hotel is made up of 24 homes from the 18th century within the living-history museum Colonial Williamsburg. Once used as kitchens, shops and brick houses, the converted buildings are decorated with period furnishings and include rooms with one or two beds.

As part of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, the hotel offers exclusive perks to enhance a visit to the Revolutionary City. All reservations in the landmark lodgings include a free shuttle service around town, to and from Busch Gardens and Water Country USA, as well as on-site parking, Wi-Fi, two-hour bike rentals and use of the tennis courts. All year, guests have access to the Williamsburg Spa's indoor pool, spa and fitness center. Guests enjoy discounts on museums and attraction tickets and purchases at local shops. Tavern rooms are located off of Duke of Gloucester in the heart of Historical Colonial Williamsburg.

Dining options in Colonial Williamsburg include four historical tavern restaurants, all within a 10-minute walk of the hotel. To taste a bit of the past, reserve a table at George Washington’s favorite, Christina Campbell's Tavern, or sample colonial snacks at McKenzie Apothecary. And don't forget to pick up a batch of homemade cookies at Raleigh Tavern Bakery. Other casual and upscale options abound, offering everything from familiar favorites like pizza and burgers to upscale handcrafted cocktails.

We enjoyed being able to walk out our door and be in the middle of the historic area. When we arrived, we parked our car and didn’t have to use it again until it was time to leave! We could just hop on the shuttle and ride to the next stop.

Great location! Wake up and walk out right onto Duke of Gloucester street in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg. Air conditioned , comfortable bed, tv and mini-fridge. The only complaint is the shower, very challenging angled ceiling for me at 6'3"!

We were given a room that was convenient to everything Colonial Williamsburg. Loved the decor...very 18th century. Can’t wait to return.

All of the buildings and gardens were in pristine condition. Keep up the good work, you provide a very authentic look at America’s roots. We did the Haunted Williamsburg tour. Definitely a must.

The house was a unique experience for me with a sense of stepping back in time but still had the comforts of home with electricity, air conditioning and maid service.

Being just a block or three from most activities was great. On these cold days I could just pop into my tavern room between dinner at the historic taverns and evening activities. Or just take a break during the day.
