Next to the historic Los Angeles Public Library, this Hilton hotel has been a downtown mainstay for business travelers since the property opened in 1927 as the Mayflower Hotel. From the financial district hotel, guests are within a mile of the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Lakers’ home court at the Staples Center; the Pershing Square Metro station is only two blocks away.
Guest rooms are furnished with flat-screen TVs, work stations and either one king bed or two double beds. Accommodations look out over downtown and feature marble bathrooms with rain showers and free Wi-Fi. Upgrading to a suite adds luxuries like private patios, larger bathrooms, separate living and seating areas to entertain and California king beds.
To achieve the perfect California suntan, guests need only to head to the hotel rooftop, where the pool deck has chaise lounges, umbrellas, a hot tub and long lap pool. Guests also have access to the on-site spa and fitness center. The hotel restaurant, Checker's Downtown, serves California cuisine with French and Asian fusion and offers indoor and outdoor seating. Those attending a concert after dinner are treated to free town car service to the Music Center.
