With its spa and swimming pool, this hotel is a relaxing base from which to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. Its location in the heart of the Brecon Beacons makes it a popular choice for those who want to explore the local landscape. It's well placed for climbing Pen y Fan, the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Also just a short drive from the hotel is the village of Libanus (around nine miles away), which is home to the National Park Visitor Centre and Tea Rooms. The tea room has a children's playground and views of Pen y Fan -- it's open year round (except Christmas Day), while the visitor centre is open from Easter to October.
If you work up an appetite in the fresh mountain air, the hotel's Bistro serves hearty home-cooked dishes. Food is also served in the cosy bar area where there's a roaring log fire in the winter.
If you fancy a dip, there's an 18-metre indoor pool and a Jacuzzi. There's also a gym and a spa that offers a range of pampering treatments including aromatherapy massages and nourishing body wraps. There are 32 rooms and suites. Upgraded Superior rooms and suites are generally more spacious. Suites have sofa beds making them popular with families.
